Finally, here I leave you with one of the three optional endings

Unfortunately for Mikoto and Kushina, the long-awaited day had taken longer than expected. For one reason or another, Sakura, they, or their children couldn't meet up for a pleasant dinner. Initially, it was disappointing, but there was nothing they could do about it. After a month, the situation became stressful, and after two months, they were on the verge of losing their sanity, their hair, their minds, and everything else. Even Minato and Fugaku remarked that they had more work than usual just to have a moment of peace before coming home and seeing their wives pacing the walls of the room while murmuring Sakura's name. Honestly, chilling.

That's why tonight they had all their hopes set on the New Year's Eve party, where neither their children nor Sakura would be busy except for arriving at the party. The two women walked with heaps of bags in hand for the Christmas gifts that would soon arrive home to wrap. Their faces radiated happiness and joy for the upcoming big day and for the shopping therapy they had just undergone.

"Kushina-san, Mikoto-san!" greeted Sakura as she passed by them.

It couldn't have been a better day! Excitedly, they rushed to greet her.

"Last-minute shopping?" Mikoto asked, giving her a gentle smile.

The two froze when they saw Sakura's cheeks slightly blush. Suddenly, they felt a small crack in their hearts. This didn't sound good.

"A-actually, I didn't have much time until now, so I took the opportunity to go buy something small," she said, showing a small red box with an orange bow and navy blue stripes.

Dum, dum, dum, duuum.

Both inhaled sharply, trying to contain their emotions.

"For whom is it?" Kushina's voice sounded a bit loud and somewhat shrill.

When they saw Sakura hesitate, they knew. What? When? Where? With whom? She had never hidden anything from them before. They always made sure she was the first to approach to talk! They even managed to position themselves as someone more precious than her lazy sensei.

"Well... I guess it's okay to tell you this... I'm dating someone, and today we'll formally introduce ourselves as a couple."

Neither of them could speak.

"I hope you can support us when the time comes because we both... are very happy..." As she spoke, Sakura grew redder and redder. "You don't have to worry! It's someone you know well, so I'm in good hands. I'm telling you this because I consider you both as mothers to me."

Sakura glanced at her watch and worried. She had her last operation scheduled before getting ready for the evening party!

"I have to go. See you tonight!"

What just happened?

Mikoto and Kushina became figures of sand that the wind slowly began to carry away.

Both women started to panic. Who was this person Sakura was dating behind their backs and for how long? Without paying much attention to their surroundings, they pushed through all the people in their way until they finally reached the super-secret headquarters and began to search and speculate who it could be.

They named each and every one of them, but each option seemed more improbable than the last. Who could it be?

Both of their brains collapsed under the pressure and stress.

"She said it was someone close to us," Kushina said, her head resting on the table in defeat.
