Dick woke up before Aubrey so he took that time to make breakfast for the two of them. He made her favorite peanut butter and jelly French toast with strawberries. When he got finished putting them on plates Aubrey walked down the stairs.
Aubrey
It smells so good down here.
Dick
I made your favorite.
Aubrey
Aww Honey
Aubrey started to cry again.
Dick
Why are you crying?
Aubrey
Im just so happy
Dick walks over to Aubrey and wipes her tears then pulls her into a hug.He pulls away and kisses her forehead.
Aubrey
Thank you Love
Dick
Don't mention it babe. Anything to make you and the little nugget happy.
Aubrey
Aww little nugget
Aubrey kissed his cheek then walks over to the barstools. They sat on the barstools and ate their breakfast. After they got done eating Dick grabbed the plates and washed them.
Aubrey
So what are your plans for today.
Dick
Well you and I are going to go back up to our room and lay in bed all day watching our favorite movies.
Aubrey
No patrol tonight?
Dick
No patrol. Just good ole fashioned mommy and daddy time.
Aubrey
I love you kid.
Dick
I love you too now come on let's go upstairs.
Dick walks over to Aubrey and grabs her hand leading her upstairs. They get back into bed and hold each other.
Dick
So what do you wanna watch.
Aubrey
Hmmm how about we watch Disney movies.
Dick
Fine with me.
Dick turns on the TV and goes to Disney+. He turns on Cars because he knows that it's Aubrey's favorite. The two snuggled together.After the first movie was over Dick turned on Cars 2 but then the door bell rang.
Dick
Im going to see who that is.
Aubrey
We can never have one day can't we.
Dick
I assume not.
Dick walked downstairs to the front door and saw that it was Conner and Megan.
Dick
Hey guys what brings you out here.
Megan
Just came to see you and Aubrey.
Dick
of course, come on in. Just to warn you guys Aubrey is in the sensitive part of the pregnancy. Just try not to say anything to make her cry. I just got her calmed down. Not saying shes overly sensitive or anything but with her hormones, everything is heightened.
Conner
Oh okay. If it's a bad time we can come back.
Dick
No it's fine I will go up and get her.
Dick walked upstairs.
Dick
Hey babe Conner and Megan are here. Do you wanna come down and say hi.
Aubrey
Yeah.
The two walk back downstairs and Aubrey greeted their friends, and pulls them both into hugs.
Megan
You are absolutely glowing. How are you feeling?
Aubrey
It's a hit and miss somedays, but today i'm just tired. And I feel like a cow.
Dick
Oh stop you're beautiful.
The four walk into the living room and sat in the couch.
Conner
So what have you guys been up to.
Aubrey
Nothing much really we got the nursery set up yesterday. And with it being summer break I've just been cleaning and sitting around the house while Dick goes to work and goes on patrol. What about you guys?
Megan
Well we just bought a house. We call it our sanctuary
Dick
How exciting we are happy for you guys.
Conner
It's so crazy it still feels like yesterday you guys Wally and Kaldur saved me from Cadmus. Now you guys are married with a baby on the way, and Megan and I buying a house.
Dick
Right I feel that way too. But if we were to go back in time I wouldn't change a thing.
Aubrey grabbed Dicks hand and squeezes it as tears fill her eyes.
Dick
Honey don't cry.
Aubrey
Ahh I can't help it.
Dick pull's Aubrey into a tight hug.
Megan
So when is your first appointment to see the baby.
Dick
Tomorrow.
Conner
Thats exciting. When are you guys going to be able to find out the gender.
Dick check to see if Aubrey was done crying then when she was he let her go then wipes her face.
Aubrey
Around Five months.
Sorry for crying my hormones are crazy.
Megan
Don't apologize it's normal.
Aubrey
Thanks Megan. Do you guys wanna stay for dinner?
Conner
We would love to, but we have plans already. We can schedule something later in the week though.
Dick
Sounds fun just let us know when you guys are available.
Megan
Sounds good thank you.It was nice to talk with you guys, but we really should be going now.
Aubrey
Okay thank you guys for stopping by.
Conner
It's really no problem we missed you guys.
Dick
We missed you guys too.
Everyone walks over to the door and they say their last goodbyes. After Dick closed the door the two went upstairs and resumed their movie. After the second movie Dick got an idea.
Dick
Hey do you wanna get take out.
Aubrey
Yeah but I don't want to get out of bed.
Dick
I can get it Door Dashed
Aubrey
Ooo okay can we get pizza and can you also get jalapeño Cheetos and chocolate soft serve ice cream?
Dick
Yeah, Is that what you're craving right now.
Aubrey
Yeah Ive been dreaming about dipping the Cheetos in the ice cream all day.
30 minutes go by and the food got delivered. Dick went to the door to get it then back upstairs.
Dick
You ready for a bed picnic.
Aubrey
Yes always.
They finished the food then the movie. Dick then turned on Cars 3. In the middle of the movie Aubrey fell asleep so Dick pulled the covers over her and continued to watch the movie.
