They wait about 15 minutes then they leave the house. They stop at the gas station to fill up on gas.
Dick

Dick

Dick went inside. Aubrey was on the phone when someone knocked on her window.
Aubrey

Aubrey

The guys pulled a knife out of his pocket.

Aubrey

I was just telling this lady to give me her money and her car. Now she's going to get cut for it.
Dick
Well thats the thing. This beautiful lady here is my wife. I don't appreciate you trying to rob her.

The next thing the random person knew he was on the ground cuffed to a bar. Dick got in the car and handed Aubrey her water.
Dick
Are you okay?
Aubrey
Yeah Im fine come on we are gonna be late.
(We love a nonchalant power couple😂)
Dick drove out of the gas station then turned to go to the hospital parking lot. They both got out of the car and walked in. Aubrey checked in, and they sat down. They waited 20 minutes then was called back. Five minutes waiting in the check up room when the ultrasound technician walked in.
UT
Okay I'm going to put this jelly on your stomach. It's going to be a little cold.
Aubrey
Okay
The UT puts it on her stomach then puts the doppler wand against her stomach. Dick and Aubrey's eyes widened when they heard their baby's heartbeat.
Aubrey
Can we get a picture of that.
UT
Yeah I can do that for you.
Dick grabbed Aubrey's hand and kissed it.
Dick

Aubrey

Another 5 minutes pass and the OB walks in.
OB
Okay so I looked at the Altrasound and everything is normal. Your baby is healthy. The only thing I want you to do is keep your stress down. I want you guys to come back in 3 months then I can tell you the gender.
( I know it doesn't work like that but for the sake of my imagination it does)
Aubrey
Okay thank you Doc
Docter
Oh don't thank me it's my job. Have you guys talked about a birth plan.
Aubrey
Ive thought about it but haven't talked to my husband about it yet.
Doctor
Okay what are you thinking.
Aubrey
I was thinking hospital birth this the option of an epidural. Just incase there is a combination.
Dick
Im okay with that, but I want her in a private room.
OB
I can arrange everything. Here is a towel you can wipe yourself off with.
Dick
Thanks again.
The two leaves the hospital and walks to the car. In the middle of walking Dick gets a phone call. He stands outside the car while Aubrey is inside the car. After the call he gets into the car.
Aubrey
Is everything okay.
Dick stayed silent.
Aubrey
Dick you're scaring me. Whats wrong?
Dick
Gretchen Goode has taken some of the team hostage.
Aubrey
Drive to the nearest Zeta tube. I can drive home from there.
Dick
No Im not going.
Aubrey
I don't believe that Dick you're not one to twiddle your thumbs. Our friends are in trouble.
Dick
I don't want to leave you. I don't know how long it will take.
Aubrey
I will be fine. Our friends no our family needs you. If I could I would go with you but I can't. I don't care how long it takes just bring them home then come home to me.
Dick
Are you sure? If something happens to you I won't forgive myself.
Aubrey
Yeah but if you don't go you won't forgive yourself either. Remember I know you better than anyone. I can handle myself you know that. I am 100 percent sure.
Dick
Okay, but I want you to put wear comms so I can talk to you.
Aubrey
I figured.
Dick drove to the nearest Zeta tube and the two got out of the car. Dick walked back to the trunk and pulled his to go bag out of it. After he got it out Aubrey walked over to him and wrapped her arms around him. They lingered melting into each other for a good 2 minutes. When they pulled away Dick grabbed the back of Aubrey's neck and pulled her into a passionate kiss. Then he pulled away.
Dick
I love you don't forget to put on the Comms.
Aubrey
I'll do it as soon as I get home. I love you too.
Dick
Good b-
Aubrey
Dick don't say it. Otherwise I'll start crying again. Go save our family and the world.
Dick kissed Aubrey one last time before walking through the Zeta Tube.
Then Aubrey got into the car and drove home. As soon as she got home she walked into the house and went down to the secret room where the Zeta tube was. Aubrey walked over to the wall that had all of the gear and gadgets they use during patrolling and missions. She grabbed a little black box that held the communication earbuds and put it in her ear. Then she walked to the Zeta Tube going to the watch tower. When she walked through Red tornado was on the other side.

My husband is on the ship that Gretchen Goode is on or at least he will be. If I don't keep tabs on him I will go crazy. I can't sit at home and do nothing RT.
RT
I don't think it smart for you to be here.
Aubrey
I know it's not but it's something I need to do. Are you going to arrange and tell on me or are you going to let me stay. Because i'll arrange with Batman at this point.
RT
Okay, but as soon as something goes wrong you have to leave.
Aubrey
