The Alpha and Her

As promised Lilac left early to find the problem first.

Alpha Derrick was having breakfast with his family " so we're going to have a visitor with us , she will stay at the outer wing " , " visitor? Who? The outer wing is preserved for me and my Mate ".

" this is a special guest Luther, she's not staying for long , I moved her there because I was told she likes her space and liked cooking " , " but father that is my wing " , " she's from the Veteneries , she's Alpha Memphis daughter , she's here to check on our problem ".

" you should've said that first , ofcourse she can stay there " Luther voiced , " since when did Memphis have a daughter? " , " I don't know either but , he strictly told us not to try and touch her , ow and not to anger her she's pretty thin on patience and very playful ".

" how old is she? " , " 20 , this is her first time here so please make her feel welcome " , " will she attend at the Academy? " , " I don't know but I think she should so she can get to know people , Memphis said he hopes she can find her mate , she's been alone for too long ".

" she's 20 , what's too long? " , " the same too long you have been without a mate , you're 25 but don't think it's been too long and that's the problem " Luther stood up.

" I've got to go " , " whatever you do be here to welcome here , you're the future Alpha after all " he rolled his eyes as he walked out.

Luther wasn't very social , you could tell he was an Alpha , his aura was strong you couldn't just walk up to him and talk to him.

" so what has you frustrated? " , Liam his Beta asked " well a girl is coming here and will be living in my wing " , " a girl? " , " mhhh a veteneries girl , apparently Alpha Memphis daughter ".

" and this is frustrating you because? " , " what if they sent her here to get married to me ? " , " that's a valid thing to worry off , I mean they are letting her stay in your wing , but what's wrong with that , you've been wanting to mate ".

Luther sighed " to my Mate not someone chosen for me , having a mate is a lifelong commitment and I don't want to be with someone whose forced to be with me.

I know how it feels to have to wait for someone to appear , I've waited for so long imagine how it would be if my Mate actually showed up and I was already mated to someone choosen for me ".

" and what if she's your mate? " Steve asked sitting down next to them " she's not " , " you don't know that " , " I will know when my Mate is here " , " but she's a Veteneries , you know you can't sense anything from them " Steve had a point.

" I think you should just let it play out , maybe she's just here for what she's just sent for, plus your wing is the only empty wing , she's important they needed to place her there, don't make a big deal out of this.

Maybe just like you she too has been looking for her mate for long , stop overthinking it " , Luther looked at Steve.

" I still say you would've made a great Alpha , I don't deserve the title " , " you do , you're just too hard on yourself that you don't see the good you're doing for your people ".

" and an Alpha's job isn't to be social , it's to protect his pack and that's what you do , it's what you've been doing your whole life " Liam added.

Luther laid back " let's go there tonight, I want to see if there's really nothing we can do about that thing in the forest " He voiced the others nodded.

Later that day, just as any other day they went deep into the forest " Liam stop" Luther shouted and Liam stopped in his tracks.

" what? Do you see something? " Luther picked up a stone.

" there's a protective spell here " he threw the stone and they watched as it melted, " that wasn't here yesterday " , " it wasn't, it's either someone is hiding something in there or protecting us from something.

We should head back and research on it first I don't want you getting hurt " , " I'll ask grandma what this means " Steve voiced as they turned walking away.

What they didn't know is they weren't alone but they weren't in danger.

Two days passed it was the day of Phillips arrival, Luther , Liam and Steve were waiting infront to welcome the guests.

The car drove in , whispering went around the pack about who it was , Phillips walked out and greeted them " morning, I hope I am not late " , " Morning, I thought someone was with you? " , " who Athena? " , the guys seemed confused.

" she's been here since two days ago " , " here? Where? " , Phillips smiled " where was she placed? She should be making us breakfast right now " confused Luther marched to his wing and the guys followed.

As they got closer the aroma of food filled them up.

They all walked in , plates were put out for them , Ethena walked out of the kitchen with freshly made juice " ow morning, right on time , sit ".

" wow " Liam voiced , Ethana was very beautiful, she was captivating to look at , she had a beautiful welcoming smile , beautiful green eyes , long thick black hair.

She put the juice down and hugged Phillips " how was your journey? " , " long , I am starting to hate cars " they sat down.

" when did you get here? " , Luther asked , " two days ago " , " why didn't you tell anyone you were here? " , " if I did that then I wouldn't have spotted 3 trouble makers deep in the forest " the guys looked at each other.

" please let's eat " she calmly voiced , the guys ate , the food was delicious, after breakfast she washed the dishes , the place was very clean.

" I am going to get settled in and talk to the Alpha , you're with them for today " Phillips voiced walking out.

The guys were sitting in the lounge and she joined them.

" why were you there? " , " where? " , " if you won't tell me , I won't force you to , let's look around your pack why don't we " , " are you the one who set that thing up there? " , " will you tell me what you were looking for? " they got up.

Liam was about to touch her but as soon as he did he regretted it , as he flew out the window and fell far out.

" Liam !" Luther ran to the window looking for him " what was that? " , " didn't father inform you? No one but Phillips can touch me , even with my powers locked out , my body doesn't want to be touched " , " your body ? " Steven asked confused and she nodded.

They walked out Luther worried about Liam , " you should rest today , you'll keep feeling electrical shock like waves , it will last for 3 hours " , " what?" , " he's the one that touched me without permission , why are you raising your voice at me? " Luther was about to answer but she walked away.

Liam held his hand " I'll be fine you go after her " , " I'll help him to his room then find you " Steven voiced.

Luther didn't want to leave but he couldn't offend a guest.

He ran after her.
