The Alpha wasn't upset that they did all this alone , he was upset that they didn't trust that he would protect them.

Liam was summoned with Steve to the office , they walked in and found Luther sitting inside.

They sat down " it has come to my attention that you lot don't seem to trust in me or that I could protect you.

You've been hiding something so big from me and if I didn't stumble on the information by mistake I still would be in the dark " the boys looked at each other.

" where is the sword? Is it with you? Do you even know what it is? " , " it's with Phillips he will be sending it to the treasure room.

" did you already open the sword? " , " no " , " then tell him to return it to you , if you don't open that sword yourself and someone else does that person could claim the sword , it will be a disaster if that person is a vampire ".

" vampire? " , " your grandfather thought me everything about that sword your father wasn't interested but I was always into our history.

I knew he was a seer , since I was to be an Alpha he knew someone would need to summon the sword until the next seer comes.

If a vampire gets they hand on that sword then they could open up a portal to the dead , and can wake up they master's.

Most of the masters were eliminated by the miracle one, because they wanted to rule the world and not unite it , most fed on us and she eliminated those people for the peace of this world.

Sending the sword to Cadier is no problem but we don't know who he's heir will be and if they share the same sentiments as him.

Fetch the sword first then I'll teach you how to open it then we can send it to Cadier".

Liam stood up and ran out looking for Phillips.

" you may leave " the Alpha said looking back at his documents " Father we a..." , " don't because you're not , I thought we had no secrets between us.

That you boys would run to me when facing dangers " , " but Alpha you also said we should grow independent and learn to stand without protection " Steve voiced.

" so have you grown dependent? Are you now adults that can stand on your own? " , " Father we..." , " I am talking to Steve " , " no ofcourse we will never grow out the need for your protection.

We just didn't think you'd be on our side for this one , we were scared that the mistake we've made was too grave that even you couldn't protect us ".

" when have I ever not protected you? If you were scared shouldn't I have been the one you ran to? " , " Alpha we made a mistake and we're truly sorry " Steve voiced lowering his head.

" I told you to leave " the Alpha looked back at his books " how are we to share our problems with you when you get so mad? We are children,  we make mistakes.

How do you think we can come to you when we're in trouble when you treat us this way? " , " so you can get upset and raise your voice at me , but I can't?

You can get emotional because I didn't accept your apology but you can't understand my emotions? So I am supposed to accept your apology because you are children? Am I not the parent? Are my feelings not as important? Next thing you'll tell me I am being selfish.

Had Athena not caught you in the forest , you all would've been swallowed by the spirits and Liam possessed and become a killer , you would be the first he'd had killed.

That didn't cross your mind did it , because it didn't matter to you? Only you matter or what you think matters?.

I thought you have grown , I guess I just had my hopes high , please leave me I have work to do " they got up and left.

Luther was now feeling guilty for what he had said , but he knew it will take time his father will forgive them he's just angry at the moment.

" I'll go back to the Academy " , " mhhh " , " just give him time , he's right we were stupid " , " I know I just feel stupid for saying that to him " , " just find time and apologize " , " I will " Steve walked out.

Luther walked to the forest he needed a breather he changed to his wolf and ran as far as he could.

When he got back he got Athena her favorite tub of ice-cream,  and chocolate cake , pizza and a soda.

He knocked on the door and left everything out on the floor.

She opened up the door and took all the things inside she got out again looking around to see if Luther was still around.

She walked back in , he sighed and walked off.

Knowing she was going away the next day didn't sit well with her.

But he had to let her go , she and his father were right , he should wait and see what happens when the bond disappears.

He went back to his room and slept.

Liam brought the sword back and gave it to the Alpha.

Athena ate the food,  she was worried, for the first time she let someone in what if he wasn't for her.

She'd have to let him be with his real mate , could she do that? She sighed.

Putting everything away and taking the tub of ice-cream and going back to bed.

Was this sadness? Why were her emotions opened up? She's never felt this way before.

Is it because she's no longer a virgin ? She ate half the tub then put away and fell asleep holding onto the pillow Luther had slept on it had his scent and that helped her sleep.
