The Alpha and Her

The next night as promised Phillips gave Liam over to Luther.

Liam looked thin and looked like he hadn't slept in weeks.

Luther hugged him " are you okay? " , " I am stronger than I look , why did you bring me here ? " , " is he treating you okay? " , " mhh he's actually really good to me , with him around I could sleep " Luther nodded.

They walked to Ethenas wing Steve was with her , she had made , sticky ribs and a salad.

They sat down " eat you'll need it " , " I am not hungry,  why do I need this? " , " eat you need strength to run " , he ate as requested but didn't finish up everything.

Luther carried him to the forest , they stood infront of the protective shield.

" let me borrow you my eyes " , she said covering each one of they eyes , she stood infront of the shield and the mist cleared , the guys could see the spirits because of her vision.

" these are all the man who died during the war " Luther voiced " they were protecting the pack , why are they killing now? " , " they died in war , angry , they're not doing it because they want to but they live in they last moments forever " Athena explained.

" Liam can you see the sword? " , " yes " , " can you get it? " , " it's quite a distance but Luren is the fastest wolf in the pack " , " I can only give you one light it will blind them for a second , and my eyes , make sure no spirit touches you until you get that sword ".

" let me go " , " it's not yours plus only he and I can see it " Athena explained , " I'll be fine " Liam assured him and changed into his wolf.

" ready? " Luren nodded , Athena opened up the shield and gave him light , he ran in and she closed the shield.

" why did you close it? " , " if he gets the sword he can come out without my help, if he doesn't I will have to kill him , I can't risk other peoples life for him " , they watched as he ran but the light started fading as he got closer to the sword.

" the light , help him " , " fuck , Steve I need you to do me a favor " , " yes " , " hold him and don't let him go till I come back " , she said pointing at Luther.

" what why? " , " just hold him " , Steve did as told , Ethena looked at Luther one last time , her eyes turned red , Luther's wolf pushed to switch.

Steve held onto him tightly,  he growled as she entered the shield changing into a red wolf , they couldn't see her,  but Luther could hear her footsteps ran towards Luren and before a spirit could touch him.

She growled,  Luther struggled to get out of Steve's grip , they started fighting.

Luren got the sword and the spirits disappeared,  he ran back , he got out of the shield and changed back helping Steve hold Luther down.

She changed back and walked out of the shield ,  her eyes still red " what's wrong with him ? " , " let him come to me " the guys let go , Luther ran towards her and stood infront of her.

The guys watched as they starred into each other's eyes , Luther cupped her cheeks her eyes turned back to its normal color.

" if you're done touching , let go we need to go " Luther still looked at her , she burnt his hand of her cheek.

" ouch " he said feeling little tingles , she walked to Liam taking the sword and activated it.

" if you could've taken the sword , why didn't you ? " , " I told you it was not mine to take , here give this to Phillips and tell him what you saw when you touched it " she gave it back and walked off.

Luther watched as she walked " Luther what was wrong with you? " , " she's my Mate " he said going after her and the guys did too.

" can we atleast talk about it ? " , " I am not your mate " , " you are I ju..." ,she turned looking at him " I am not your mate " then walked off before he could get to her Phillips stood infront of him.

" what happened? Why is she upset? " , " let me talk to her " Phillips touched his hand getting the information he needed.

" she's not your mate " he moved looking at Liam trying to see if he was hurt spinning him around.

" what are you doing ? " Steve asked " checking if my Mate got hurt " , " mate? " they all shouted.

" wait what do you mean , I am not her mate? And what do you mean Liam is your mate? " , " the reason why she's not trying to look for her mate is because if she opens up her senses.

Every Alpha , whether they are werewolves,  vampire or hybrids,  they will sense her , it's like a mate bond but for all Alphas.

With that she can't actually pinpoint who her real mate is , so what you felt wasn't a matebond but the pull of her senses".

He walked back to Liam holding his hand and released his senses , Liam was lost in him " I didn't sturter Liam is my Mate " he carried him and walked back inside.

Steve froze and Luther was frustrated " but that felt so real " he voiced more to himself  , he walked off leaving Steve with his thoughts.

That was alot to deal with in one night.
