Chapter 6: Cover Almost Blown

The Next day

At The Racer's Edge

John was working in the store and he looked up to see Hector.

Hector saw a girl and says "Hired some new help, huh?"

John walks over and says "Don't even think about it."

Hector said, "All right, like that?"

John says "What's up, Hector?" as both of them do a fist bump.

Hector says "What's up, Brian? How you feeling, man?"

John leans against the counter and says "Pretty good. So, what's up? What do you need?"

Hector said, "What's up, man? I need you to hook me up. Three of everything. I made a list."

Hector takes out a list and says "Why don't you look that over."

John asked, "When do you need this stuff by?"

Hector says "Tomorrow, today, now."

John nods and says "Right." as he begins to type everything out on the computer and when he pulled everything up they all were parts for Honda Civics.

Hector said, "Come on, man, white boys work fast, don't they?"

Hector then speaks spanish to his friend behind him and he hands him a wad of cash.

Hector says "That's right." as he looks at the cash.

John asks "Hey, you said you need three of all this stuff?"

Hector said, "Yeah, three of everything. What do you think about that? Check this out."

John turns to Hector to see the cash.

Later

Somewhere at Hector's garage

John had saw Hector busy talking with girls and drove behind to his garage out of sight.

John climbed the bar to get up to the window on the side of the road.

Once he got on the roof of the small building he walked across and when he got to the end of saw Hector still distracted.

John walked to the window and smashed one window pane to unlock the window and crawl in.

Once he got in, running down the stairs and he looks around as he sees cars He then turned to a car covered and lifted the cover off to see a red Honda Civic.

Then he lifted the other cover to see a silver one.

Then he saw a black one hanging in the air.

John went to look under it to see the chassis.

Then he looks at the tires to see if they are the same as the ones that are robbing semi-trucks on Honda Civics.

Once he finished and climbed out of the window and climbed down, once he reached the ground he was hit over the head.

Later

John was unconsious and was being dragged somewhere.

Once he was thrown against the ground, he groans and hears someone say "He moans like a cop."

John could finally see as he sees Vince holding a shotgun to his face and Dom coming from out of the shadows.

Dom folds his arms and says "Brian, this is one of those times when you need to be very clear about what you say. Nod if you understand me."

Vince saw he wasn't nodding and yells "Nod!"

John nods at Dom's question.

Dom said, "Sit up."

John moves to sit up as he gets on his knees.

Dom says "Tell me what the hell you're doing down here."

John rubs the back of his head and says "Oh, shit. What I'm doing?"

Vince poked John with the shotgun and John looks at him quickly then looks at Dom.

John was breathing heavily and says "Dom. I don't... I owe you a 10-second car. And what this is about, this is about Race Wars."

Vince then kicked John to the side and John looks at him with a glare.

John looks at Dom and said, "I just went in there, and Hector is gonna be running three Honda Civics with Spoon engines. And on top of that, he just came into Harry's and he ordered three T66 turbos, with NOS, and a MoTeC system exhaust."

Dom asks "So, what are you saying? You're gonna go around and check everybody's shit out, one garage after another?"

John looks a Vince then back at Dom and says "Yeah." as he slowly stands up.

John said, "Because, Dom, you know, I can't lose again."

Vince looks at Dom and says "He's a cop. He's a cop!"

Dom looks at John and asks "You a cop?"

John slowly shakes his head, knowing he has to keep his cover, or... he's starting to like being a apart of a family like this, and doesn't think of himself as a cop anymore.

At this moment, he doesn't even know.

Dom gives a small smirk and said, "Let's go for a little ride."

Vince then yells "Walk!" as he lightly kicks John.

John follows after Dom, as they drive to Chinatown in Jesse's car.

Later

At Johnny Tran's Garage

The trio enter from above after they climb to the top.

Once they dropped in, they started looking at the cars.

Vince says "Yo, Dominic." as He and John see the cars.

Dom walks over and sees the car as well, but they all see no engine inside the car's frame.

Vince said, "There's no engines."

Dom asked, "What are they planning on racing with? Hopes and dreams?"

Vince syas "I don't know, but I know they're sneaky as shit and they got enough money to buy anything."

John then saw Panasonic DVD players and walks over to look at them.

Dom then says "All right, we got company. O'Conner!"

John quickly but sneakily walks to Dom and Vince to hide out of sight.

John saw that Dom had a gun out when he went to hide with them.

They saw multiple cars and bikes drive in, and once they all get out, they begin to talk to someone named Ted.

Then they saw the Trans begin to torture him by pumping oil in his mouth as he tries to struggle.

Johnny was trying to find their engines as he said, and it was revealed that they were in a warehouse, and Johnny then left with his crew to get their engines after he kicked Ted.

After everyone was gone John, Vince, and Dom left without being seen.
