Restless.
On edge.
Impatient.
That had been how Jaehyun's subordinates had described him in the past couple of weeks. His fuse was shorter and he had been beyond irritated.
Most thought this was due to the drug smuggling operation that was expanding that month but truthfully, Jaehyun could not give a shit.
They were none the wiser that Jaehyun was on edge due to a call he might or might not be receiving. He had expected something to happen within the week where everything had gone down but, nothing so far and the weeks were going by.
He was on edge as to whether that was good news or bad news.
He kept thinking that Nair couldn't make it to a situation where she could ask for help. Maybe her body was already decomposing.
"Jaehyun, is everything ok?"
"Did I say it wasn't," Jaehyun sighed in annoyance throwing his phone on the desk. He didn't really feel like chit chatting with Taehyung, his second in command.
"Everyone is feeling on edge because you a-"
"Did I start working with bitches and no one let me know?"
"Jaehyun this isn't like you. You need to get your head straight. There's police sniffing around the route - we need our boss."
"Did we call our friends in high places," Jaehyun sat on his chair resting his head on his fist. He wanted to just ignore everything but work needed him. "We feed them every month, if they're bitting the hand that feeds them, I'm fucking them up."
"Well they're entering a rebellious phase it seems. They want more food than usual."
Jaehyun kissed his teeth irritated. You would think corrupt people would be grateful and just follow the programme but someone always wanted more.
Consumerism would be the end of society as far as he was concerned.
"Prepare the car and the gold, Mr Han will have to hear me."
..."Sleazy old bastard," Jaehyun cursed getting into his vehicle. He crossed his legs as Taehyung smiled pleased that his boss was finally getting to work.
Their driver started driving as soon as they both got in. He had Jaehyun's schedule for the day so he could be where he needed to be at the right times.
"What would happen if I killed Lee Hoseok?"
Taehyung snapped his neck looking at his boss in shock. He was used to his boss being impulsive and unreasonable but enough to kill such a public figure from such an important family?!
The man was impressed and horrified.
"I doubt even we would be able to finesse such an incident. We'd definitely all go to jail."
"But you know Taehyung," the man asked calmly rotating his neck to get rid of the tension. "I feel like I will."
Taehyung was completely confused. He must have missed something which was rare for Taehyung. He even knew when his boss changed from liking Nike to preferring Adidas.
So when did he miss the part where Lee Hoseok became part of Jaehyun's personal hit list?
He did not know when he left the train and forgot to get back on.
"Did something happen between you and Jaehyun-ah.
? Let's talk abo-""He's hurting a girl I like"
"Jaehyun... over some ass?"
Taehyung could not believe it.
The whole thing was out of character for his boss. Taehyung had never seen Jaehyun behave like this over a girl. He wasn't the type to want to be tied down and he didn't struggle to get women whenever he wanted.
The whole thing was bananas to Taehyung. He could probably pay someone to get enough surgery to resemble whatever girl he wanted to fight about.
"How many times have you even met her?"
"Like twice."
Taehyung could not hold the shocked expression that filled his features.
"Jaehy-"
"I want her Taehyung. I get what I want - Hoseok is in the way."
Taehyung sighed giving up.
It would be way more productive to start figuring out ways to get away with the murder of a young, renewable energy company heir.
"To answer the initial question, no you would not get away with it. As always I'll figure it out."
..."Mr Han gave me permission to do whatever I want with you guys."
Jaehyun smiled sitting on top of a desk. The two police men who were sniffing around where they shouldn't be were bound, beaten and pleading for their lives.
The perfect way for Jaehyun to relive stress.
"I have an idea, police man B chose whether you or your partner gets a hole poked through your right eye."
Both men looked at one another remaining quiet, sweat dripped from their foreheads coating their whole face.
"Policeman B," Jaehyun called again pointing towards the man on the left, "decide now."
When the man chose to stay quiet, Jaehyun signalled to cut through the men's eyes. Both eyes. He was never planning to cut just one but it amused him to see righteous men struggle with right or wrong in an amoral situation.
Jaehyun watched as both men screamed as their eyes were slit with sharp knives. Jaehyun couldn't help but think about how much worse he'd treat Lee Hoseok when he finally laid his hands on him.
At some point they started cutting fingers. Jaehyun was not one to deliver quick, painless deaths.
The point of setting an example was to be scary.
But Jaehyun was snapped away from his live show as his phone rung with an unknown number. Deep down in his heart he already knew who it was.
But he wasn't prepared for how much the sound of the girl crying and her desperation would make his blood boil.
He needed to have Lee Hoseok served on a platter. Ready for slaughter.
"P-please h-help me Jaehyun," a voice cried hysterically on the other end of the line. "I-I'm scared. He-he's going to hurt me! He's really going to hurt me!"
