Love. These guys keep talking about love—Pyaar.
But trust me, Pyaar mein kuch nahi rakha hai. (Love has no worth.) My parents?
They had a love marriage, and now, they’re far from happy. Two years into their marriage, my father had an affair. I found out when I was just 14. At that age, you’re supposed to dream, laugh, and live carefree. But for me, life was different. My parents fought all the time.
Preet and I? We weren’t like this before.
Preet was happy, carefree, always smiling. But after knowing the truth, he changed. He started having anxiety issues.
As for me, I didn’t know how to process any of it. I remember running to the park near our house one evening, unable to hold back my tears. And that’s when she appeared—my Starlight.
She walked up to me with a kind smile and offered me an orange candy.
I refused at first, burying my face in my hands. But she wouldn’t give up. She insisted, nudging it toward me.
Finally, I gave in and took it. She also handed me a card—a simple yet beautiful card. Even now, whenever I feel lost, I look at that card. It’s like a ray of hope.
In return, I gave her a kids' ring. I still have that card, but I don’t even know her name. I would love to meet her again someday... my Starlight.

At the Café:
"Kaha ho? Kaha kho gaye?" (Where are you? Where are you lost?) Yash’s voice dragged me back to reality.
I looked up to see him, along with Prachi and Mahek, staring at me.
