I woke up at 7:00 in the morning, as usual, being the morning person I am.

Despite everyone sleeping at 2:00 AM, my routine never faltered. After getting out of bed, I hit the gym for a quick workout session before heading for a shower.

Once done, I felt a dull ache in my head, and the only remedy I could think of was coffee. So, I made my way to the kitchen.

As I started brewing my coffee, I heard the soft sound of footsteps descending the stairs.

Turning around, I saw Mahek. Her messy morning hair and mismatched clothes gave her an adorable, unpolished look.

Still, she somehow managed to look beautiful. A chudail (witch), yes, but a cute one at that.

She was yawning, looking as innocent as a baby. And me? Well, I caught myself smiling like an idiot. Shut up, Avyaan. Focus on the coffee.

She casually asked me to make her tea, and, to my surprise, I agreed. I don’t even know why.

I handed her the tea, and she looked at me with the brightest smile.

"Thanks, Mister," she said, her eyes twinkling.

To my horror, I felt my cheeks heat up. Blushing? Seriously? What the hell was happening to me?

An Hour Later

The plan for the day was college. Agasthya left earlier since he had office work, but Yash, Prachi, Mahek, and I were heading to campus together.

We picked up Mahek and Prachi’s bags from their house after dropping Rohan off at the Shahs'.

Meeting Uncle and Aunty at the Shah residence was quick but warm, and once we had everything sorted, we headed off.

"Agar halwa jal jaye toh usse jalwa bolenge kya?" (If a dessert gets burnt, will we call it "jalwa" instead?) Mahek quipped out of nowhere.

I groaned. "Isko gaadi se bahar feko koi," (Someone throw her out of the car,) I said, shaking my head.

Yash joined in, smirking. "Behen, tu reels kam dekha kar." (Sister, watch fewer Instagram reels.)

But Prachi, ever the supporter, added with a grin, "Kuch bhi kaho, baat mein point toh hai." (Say what you want, but there’s logic in her statement.)

In response, Mahek blew her a flying kiss, making everyone laugh.

---

We reached college five minutes after the chaos. I dropped Mahek and Prachi at the campus gate, while Yash and I headed to park the car. Once that was done, we walked to our lecture.

At the Canteen

"Batao, kisko kya khana hai?" (Tell me, what does everyone want to eat?)
Mahek asked as she prepared to place the order.
