It was past the hour he had told Jimin he'd be arriving at. And instead of being at the mechanic or the market for shopping, there he was in the car by a broken down cheap motel, watching the people pass by. Seungjae was also beside him on the passenger seat, looking at the file he had in his hands.
"How long is this going to take?"
"You think I got my diploma from a witch? If I could predict when he'd be coming I would've told you." Jungkook rolled his eyes at his words and leaned back with crossed arms. "It's been two hours. Are you even sure we are at the right place?"
Seungjae nodded as he flipped over some pages. "My intel is never wrong. Tracking him was rather easy. Who knew that his last card transaction would make it so obvious that he's on the run?" Jungkook scoffed at that. "Yet he didn't even bother to take out cash to not be traced."
"That's because he knows we have nothing on him. But... not after tonight. Jungkookie here will make us a good reason to arrest him won't he?" Jungkook irked his face, frowning. "Don't call me that- and hey, if I get killed you'll be paying for my funereal."
Seungjae laughed mockingly, making the latter almost sneer in bother. But he held himself back. "Don't worry about that, I'm not so senseless as to let you die. Did you know that I was the best sniper back in military?"
"And I was good with a knife."
"You're not bringing a knife-"
"For self protection- you can't just send me there defenceless. The last time I went against him my shoulder got sliced in half. The wound hasn't completely closed you know." Seungjae gave him a knowing look. "I actually looked into you. You were much better in military with your fists than else. So don't try and make this-aaah! He's here!"
Both of their attention suddenly pointed towards the balcony on the second floor of the motel. "What- why is he dressed like that?"
"What- you don't wear flowery shirts often?"
Jungkook gave him a glare before looking back up. And then suddenly, they saw a woman appear from behind him, hugging him and kissing him before going even further right out in the open. "...I'm confused."
"Do you think he actually let Jimin go? I thought he was obsessing over him."
"If you had seen how he fought- yes. But... this?"
Seungjae put his finger over his chin and thunk. "Well... considering how careless he was with stopping you guys in the middle of the road to drag Jimin out and his unplanned kidnapping... I'd say he's quite below the average."
"And I'd say he's missing a couple atoms in his brain-" With that, Jungkook suddenly got out the car and yelled towards the balcony. "Hey! Asshole- what the hell!?"
Seungjae's eyes bulged out in shock before getting out himself. "Hey- stop that!" But Jungkook didn't care for it while Namgyu's gaze turned pale and ran inside.
With the heave of his breath, Jungkook ran towards the motel with Seungjae following from behind. Upon arriving on the second floor, he kicked the cheap door down and saw Namgyu gathering his belongings in a hurry.
"Are you seriously and idiot or--"
"W-wait! I didn't mean to I just-!!"
Jungkook then suddenly grabbed him by his neck before pinning him down on the bed.
In the meantime, Seungjae had also arrived, gasping out of breath. "Why are you so-*huffs*- fast- *wheezes*- ah- fuck-" His eyes then caught a sight of the woman from earlier and took out his badge to let her leave in silence. "We are with the police- you can just... leave. And be quiet yes?"
