His whiskey was tasteless... as so was his life now.
It seemed like whatever he did, things would always take a bad or a wrong turn, resulting in a total catastrophe. Just like what had happened with Jimin.
He had ended up letting his anger take over his other emotions, making his eyes blind to his rationality. Not like he had ever understood the concept of it either, but ever since he had forcefully committed an act which he should not have, he had tried to be more sensible. But all that effort and still no results, so he wasn't sure if he should even be trying at all at this point.
Yet despite the regret, he still stood by his anger, not wanting to let it go just yet. It somehow made him feel like he was on the right, and that was something he had to feed to his ego to keep himself intact for future disputes.
Taking a sip from his whiskey, he rose the glass up to give it a glance, thought back on the fight between him and Jimin, and slammed the glass back on the table with force.
Startled, Seojun gave him an annoyed look from the side. "Can you just chill for a little? You've been on edge ever since we came to the bar."
Jungkook frowned back while pointing at his face. "You've been staring pensively at the ground too- why am I to blame?"
Seojun sighed in return and shook his head. "At least I'm not annoying others-"
"You're annoying me!"
The latter then rolled his eyes and looked away. "Whatever."
It was true that Seojun had been awfully quiet and odd acting ever since they had met, almost looking like he had a huge shit to take yet refused to do so out of guilt. For whatever guilt that was.
Imagining the thought he had just had, Jungkook irked his face and gazed down at the cigarette pack sitting by the edge of the table. "I had a fight the other day."
"With who?"
Jungkook didn't speak until he took one cigarette out and put it between his lips.
"You smoke?"
He shrugged. "Something I picked up from the person I fought with."
He then took the lighter sitting next to Seojun's arm and lit it up. "Okay... so who?"
While inhaling the smoke, he closed his eyes and thought back on the first time he had ever smoked, later smiling at the thought.
"...dude you're weirding me out."
Jungkook then gave Seojun a glance and rose his hand up to the server to ask for an ashtray. "Would you keep the secret if I told you who?"
Seojun shrugged while watching the antique made of glass be put down on the table. "Sure. I mean... I wouldn't have many to tell anyways."
It was true, he didn't have that many friends. But Jungkook was a celebrity, so this was curcial in many ways.
Seeing as he stood silent after, Seojun heaved out a loud sigh. "You know I won't tell anyone, so who's-"
"It was Jimin-hyung."
Seojun's face then dropped, acting unimpressed. "Wow... mystery solved I guess? But seriously? Why would I tell someone that you fought with one of your ex-members?"
Jungkook inhaled once more and looked straight ahead at the bar, away from the latter's gaze. "We fought because..." After a moment's silence of watching the bartender pour in a mixture of different brands into a shaker, he continued. "...I kissed him without his consent."
