"Did you ever realise that the word week sounds like weak?"

Heirang who was seated on the carseat right across from him had her arms crossed, expression irked at the question. "...and did you know that humans can act dumb when they avoid talking about certain things?"

Jungkook averted his gaze after a quick roll of the eyes. "Just say that you want to keep bugging me about it." Heirang laughed in return, shaking her head. "I mean- are you really giving me the option not to? You're just soo pathetic even the gods will pity you."

"How am I pathetic exactly? I told him how I feel- I even kissed him! What else am I supposed to do? The slightest possibility that he may be feeling something for me is driving me crazy enough as it is."

Heirang pursed her lips in thought while the driver in the front suddenly jumped in to make a comment. "It sounds like you're rushing a lot. So what if he does have feelings for you? Did you give him enough time to trust in you?" Heirang scoffed, cutting his words. "With that behaviour of his- we can make a hard guess and say- obviously not."

Jungkook's shoulders dropped, eyes now looking out the window. "So I'm rushing?"

"You're too pestering young man! If you really love that person, then you should give them space. You say you kissed him? Now that's just what a brute does!"

As the old driver spoke once again, it made Jungkook feel somehow disappointed in himself. The old man did have his rights after all. He was experienced.

"Yeah- a total brute! A wild boar-" As Heirang jokingly made a loud growl, she ended up earning a loud slap on the shoulder by the latter, and fell sideways on the seats. "Oh no! I have been attacked by the wild animal- he will now- eek!"

And Jungkook began tickling her just like that. Both laughed for a good while until the car came to a stop right in front of a grand building, its doors opening almost immediately to reveal the mess inside.

Both cleared their throats and patted down their clothes before walking out, her hand wrapped around his arm.

"The building is huge-" Jungkook whispered as they walked up the red carpet laying above the high stairs. "My father loves showing off, what am I supposed do say?"

Jungkook smirked. "Maybe agree to the arranged marriage and this could all be yours." Heirang scoffed back and slapped his back. "You're funny!" Jungkook smiled. "Yeah- easy on the wounds-"

"Oh your back is fine!"

As they entered the big venue where the award event for the album of the year was going to happen, Jungkook could not help but start looking around to see if he could find him

Yet to his disappointment, he found himself empty handed

From the side, seeing as how bothered he looked, Heirang bumped his shoulder with hers and leaned in to whisper. "He'll be attending- you know that."

"Still- maybe he cancelled last minute because of what happened and-"

"Calm down. He's here."

Jungkook scoffed, still in his dreamland. "Yeah- it's easy for you to say- but if you were there that night then you would've seen how-" Heirang grabbed his chin and turned his head towards the champagne tables. "I said he's here."

Jungkook oh'ed, now swallowing. "Look at you acting so nervous- now what, you're just gonna stand there?" He shook his head and took a step back. "I can't talk to him."
