When Lizzie left mine that evening, I wandered into Scarlet's room where she was sitting at her desk typing away at her laptop. As she heard me enter, she held up her hand for me to stay quiet so she could finish what she was writing. I laughed out my nose and sat down on her bed, my back against her pillows. A few seconds later, she turned around and smiled at me.

"So, how did it go?" she asked.

"It was perfect," I smiled brightly, "we had dinner and drinks and then she came back here, and we had the best sex and thennn we spent today just talking about everything ever."

"She's really sweet," Scarlet replied, "she made me a coffee this morning."

"Really?" I asked.

She nodded, "I think she likes me a little bit more now that she knows she doesn't need to be worried about me and you living together."

I hummed and nodded, "she said the funniest thing when she came back though."

Scarlet smiled slowly and nodded, "yes, I know, there's no way I would be able to hurt her, but I had to threaten it."

I laughed out my nose and shrugged my shoulders, "I don't think she's going to hurt me; she wants me to meet her parents so she must be as involved as I am."

"Wow, that's a big step," she replied, "I haven't even thought about bringing Em home yet."

"I would love to watch that unfold," I smirked.

"Well considering half my family is catholic, I can't imagine it would go smoothly," she laughed.

I shrugged my shoulders, "you might be sweetly surprised."

"I hope so," she giggled back to me, "so when's your next date then?"

"Lizzie said she wants to organise it but that it'll be this weekend, I told her about that huge bookshop in town, so I think it's something to do with that," I smiled.

"They do a cocktail evening there," Scarlet informed me.

"Oh, I know," I laughed, "that's why I've put this together."

She nodded slowly, "and she's come out?"

"Only to her friends, she said she doesn't want to make a big coming out thing for her family, she just wants to turn up with me and it be simple," I explained.

"What if they react badly?" she asked.

"Then I'd rather be with her if that happens," I smiled sadly, "I have a really weird feeling about this girl, I don't know, it feels like something different than I've ever felt before."

"You love her," Scarlet said quietly.

"No, I- it's way too early for that-"

"I don't know Y/N/N, you light up when you talk about her and then seeing you two together last night ... I think you love her," she smiled.

I shook my head, "love is a strong word."

"You just said yourself you've never felt this way about anyone before," she reminded me.
