glow

Not like the sun
More like a stone
If I disappeared, people would still make their way home
In fact, they would be just fine
Easily disposed of like the sands of time
one day you live the next you're done

Not like the sun
Just reflecting its rays
shining on everyone
Like warmth on your face on that icy windy day
Like the sight of a rainbow
Except it goes away
Not like the sun
More like a stone
One out of Hundreds out of them
Watch out! Before you stub your toe

At the end of the day, it's just thoughts in your head
Hit the lowest point and suddenly
I need to take a breath
Your existence tolerated instead of valued
Easily changed to fit the rest of the story and publish the book
In reality, i am not the sun, nor am I a stone
But like a river, I flow just to find my way back home
I try to seek out who I am
I try to think of thoughts of positivity
To better who I am
And even if the flame of life burnt out
Only to be lit by a few
I am grateful to be remembered for who I truly am by you
