behind closed doors

Everything looks beautiful on the outside until you actually look deep within
The house I had built so long ago abandoned, not a single soul living
Clear chandeliers are now broken and dusty
Broken woods and easy spinters
The halls where brothers once play fought sisters
Abandoned, broken bruised inside
Yet beautiful, alive, and gorgeous on the outside
Who would say that she tore the curtains, broke the windows in rage
Who would say the children left because they felt like they lived in a cage
Nobody would say she lives alone in this huge house all by herself
But if you look sharp enough ...souls roam through the halls
Of regrets and decisions that live to haunt the walls
Dusty and gray on the inside
A sight to behold on the out'
But if you look close enough...you'd be surprised.
