Kyuko was transported to King Kai's Planet the next day after his fight with Gohan and Piccolo, he was starting his next phase of training.
King Kai: I'm going to see if you're ready to do my training. I'm going to teach you two things if you pass my test. The first thing is the Kaio-Ken technique. It's an energy multiplier that increases your strength, speed, durability, and reflexes, at the cost of your stamina. It can go up to x20. But the strain on the body that this technique puts on you is crazy. Since you're young, I say you only handle base Kaiō-Ken but without going any higher than that. It should be enough to take down villains and what not. Now for your test.
Kyuko fell to the ground instantly as he slowly got back up.
Kyuko: King Kai, why the hell am I so heavy?
King Kai: Because you're feeling the effects of the planet's gravity. It's 10x Earth's Gravity. Get used to it, kid. You have to catch Bubbles and I shielded you and your family the last time you were here.
Kyuko: Brutal much?
Kyuko stood up and saw Bubbles, who ran away and Kyuko tried to catch him but it took him awhile since he wasn't used to 10x Earth's Gravity, however, after 15 minutes, he was kinda used to it and eventually he caught Bubbles.
Kyuko: Did it!
King Kai: Good, now I can teach you the Kaiō-Ken technique.
So for the next week, Kyuko trained his body to withstand the effects of the Kaiō-Ken technique and his mind, making him stronger and smarter. He got small Zenkai Boosts during his training there. He was now 5'2 and 1/2, and his muscles were more defined now. He was able to keep the duration of the Kaiō-Ken to a few minutes at best. Kyuko stood in front of Goku, who was going to tank his attack at full-power to see what level he's at now.
Kyuko: Kaiō-Ken!
A crimson red aura surrounded Kyuko and his entire body and clothing had a crimson tint on it.
