Chapter Two - but he's a cheater

"How could you do this?" Olivia asks. When Tatum doesn't answer Olivia adds,

"I told you how much he hurt me, Tatum. You were there the night he cheated and now you're dating him?" She spoke. 

I look at Sara. She is looking back and forth between Tatum and Olivia. I direct my attention back to them as well.  

But Tatum still doesn't say anything. Olivia sucks her teeth and just nods at Tatum before walking away without another word. 

"She hasn't changed." Luke murmurs. Sara glares at him and he says, "what?" Then she just rolls her eyes and follows after Olivia. 

I start to follow them, but Tatum grabs my arm. 

"You're really taking their side? Seriously?" She says. 

My eyebrows pull together and I say, "You can't be serious." When she gives me a face that indicates that she is in fact serious I say, "What did you expect Tatum? Olivia's one of our best friends and I don't think she's wrong here." I pull my arm out of her grasp and walk towards the way Olivia and Sara left, but not before I hear a scoff from Tatum behind me.

'In the BR by English' Sara texts me. I walk to the bathroom by our English classroom and sure enough Sara and Olivia are in there. 

"...don't understand how she could do this. I have stuck up for her time and time again. I have always taken her side. For everything. And she goes and fucks around with my Ex-boyfriend."

I hear Olivia say. "It's okay. She'll realize that he's awful and be back." Sara replies and Olivia looks at her with disbelief, "She should have realized he was awful when I told her. Not when he tosses her out like trash." Olivia says and grabs her bag but not before saying, "I'm going to class." 

Sara sighs and runs her hand through her hair. "This really sucks." 

Yeah. Tatum should know better. I want to say but I don't.

"We should probably go to class too." Sara says and pulls on her backpack. "We have chemistry." I nod a reply and follow her out of the bathroom.

The first few days of school are going to be so boring. It's just the teachers giving the same rules we've had since elementary school.  

Don't talk when the teacher is speaking.

Ask before leaving the room.

Make sure a teacher always knows where you're going before you leave.

Raise your hand if you have a question.

It's a load of BS if you ask me. Everyone in this class is seniors.

I look around and take everyone in. I know everyone in the class. Mostly everyone has been going to this school since elementary.

*Dingggggggg* 

As the bell rings everyone gets up and leaves. I have English next period. 

Sara makes her way to my seat and waits for me to get up. "You ready?" she asks. I nod. And we walk to our next class.

I shut the door to Adrien's car, and he backs out of his parking spot.

"How was your first day?" he asks as we pull out onto the road. 

"Good. You?" "Yeah good." he replies.

We don't talk until were almost home. "I'm going to try out for the football team." Adrien says, breaking the silence.  

So that's why he's been working out all summer.

"Okay let me know how it goes."
