Around 2 A.M. Aarchi walked down the hallway to the swimming pool and dipped her legs in it, playing with the water, lost in her thoughts.
"Bho!" Her hand went towards her heart as she took a deep breathe and looked behind at the intruder.
"Vihaan! You scared me" She complained shaking her head.
"What are you doing here looking like a modern ghost?" He smiled and sat beside her, rolling up his jeans up to his knees and dipping them in water.
"Modern ghost?" She looked at him confused.
"White frock instead of white saree. And that brings up my next question, why haven't you changed?" He asked pulling his legs out quickly making her laugh.
"Its freaking ice cold" He looked at her shocked on how she had her legs in the water.
"Give it some time" She said covering her laugh with her hand.
"And die of hypothermia" He very slowly dipped his legs in water and shivered slightly. Aarchi got busy in playing with water once Vihaan relaxed.
"Couldn't sleep" Vihaan started the conversation knowing that if asked Aarchi would make a dumb excuse.
"Why?" She looked at him curiously.
"Don't know" He shrugged his shoulders and dipped his hands in water and splashed some on her.
"Vihaan" She leaned backwards covering her face with her hand as a laugh erupted from her.
"Keep smiling, it suits you" He said cleaning the water droplets from her face using his dry hand.
"So sad face makes me look ugly? Is that what you are saying?" She teased him.
"Nope... you look pretty even when you are sad but this..." He placed his fingers under her chin and tilted her face upwards so she could keep her gaze locked with his.
"Yeh zyada pyaara hai" He said with a smile.
"Sachi?" She held his wrist in her both hands and asked him.
"Yes" He replied blinking his eyes reassuring her that he meant his each word. Aarchi left his wrists and looked ahead in the water.
"I couldn't sleep too" She said looking at the water sadly.
"If he didn't move on from his ex then why did he waste my time and feelings? I feel played" She said pulling her legs out of water and hugging her knees.
"Confront him then" He wrapped his arm around her shoulder, hoping it would provide her some warmth. He placed his arm over her covered shoulder.
"I'll cry and make a fool of myself again" She replied taking in the warmth his arm provided.
"You are worried he'll judge you?" He asked looking at her shocked.
"I don't know. I don't know what I'll say to him, ask him, I don't know Vihaan" She turned to face him as a tear slid down her cheek.
"Oh my delicate girl" He pulled her in a hug, letting her cry. Aarchi clanged onto him, holding the back of his t-shirt and she wept silently in the crook of his neck while he patted her head.
"I really really loved him Vihaan. I thought he was my IT. He sat by me and made me dream of our future together" She held him tightly as more tears wet his t-shirt.
"Shhhh sshhh, its over now. God knew that he was a scumbag, so he removed him out of your way" He whispered above her head, holding her close.
"Then why did he place him in my way at the first place" She broke the hug and looked at him angrily.
