Maitri called her mum and told her about the accident and within a few minutes Jiya and her husband were at the hospital, giving support to both the families.
"Arush bacha... rona band kar, your brother and bestfriend are strong people, itni asaani se peecha nai chodenge humara" Maitri said running her hand in Arush's hair as he laid his head in her laps.
"They had gone to get a cake for me. If they wouldn't have stopped for it they would have been at home safe and secure" Arush replied feeling guilty.
"Can you guarantee it? Nai na. Tu aise haar manjayega toh kaise chalega? Vihaan wouldn't want you to feel guilty for their accident" Nidhi said softly understanding what he must be going through.
"Did you guys eat?" Divya asked Maitri as she herself wiped her crying eyes.
"Get everyone tea-coffee" Maitri said looking at the parents who stared into oblivion.
"I'll go with her" Arush said standing up and following Divya to the cafeteria.
"I'm scared" Maitri and Nidhi whispered to each other as they held each other's hand.
"I won't be able to handle Avi if anything happens to them" Nidhi said placing her head on Maitri's shoulder.
"Me too" Maitri said placing her head on top of Nidhi's. Divya and Arush returned with small tea cups and offered everyone to drink even if they didn't want to.
"Arya jiju and Avi?" Divya asked noticing the absence of the twins.
"Gone to take care of the one who is the reason why Aru and Vihaan are inside" Maitri replied with venom lacing her tone.
After 3 hours, the doctors stepped out.
"He is fine. We need to keep him under supervision for a few days before discharging." Nidhi and Arush stood at the door listening to the doctor explain them in medical terminology of what had happened and what they did.
"And Aarchi?" Arush asked still on edge.
"She is still being operated on" The doctor said excusing himself. Nidhi and Arush turned to the rest.
"Vihaan is out of danger. He fractured his hand and a few pieces of the glass had pierced his chest, thankfully none of them were deep enough to damage any vital organ. He should be fine within a few days" Nidhi said holding Ridhima's hand who breathed out peacefully but stopped realising her daughter-in law was still not out.
"Aru?" Veer asked concerned.
"They are saying that she took the brunt of the fall when the car rolled over. A sharpnel has entered her abdomen and if they are suspecting right, Aarchi might need physiotherapy her spine. She fell on her back so there's that danger too along with her high blood pressure" Rishav sat down on the bench, holding his head in his hands, trying to stop himself from crying out loud as Kaira sat beside him, weeping silently.
"Don't worry she'll fight back stronger. It is Aru, our Aru" Aryaman whispered trying to give hope to his parents along with himself. After another hour or so, the doctors stepped out and cleared that Aarchi too was out of danger but unfortunately, she'd need a few weeks of physiotherapy as the fall had injured her spine. Kaira and Rishav sighed relaxing that their daughter was out of danger but again became tensed when they heard she'll need therapy.
A DAY LATER
Aryaman and Aviraj sent back everyone when the couple was shifted into their rooms, asking them to go have a bath and eat something as they stayed back.
"Aru aab toh uthja, dekh shaam hogayi hai" Aviraj said holding Aarchi's hand, shedding tears.
"I'll not eat anything from your plate bacha, please wake up" Aryaman said patting her head lovingly.
