'This is it. Are you nervous?' Dean took Castiel's hand in his and smiled at him. After two years of dating and proposing to him six months ago, he never thought he would wear a tuxedo and wait for the love of his life at the altar. You only live once, people say, but then again you're a Winchester. And there's no guarantee that you're gonna laugh in Death's face the next time you see him, which just made every moment with him more special.

'Well, it is entirely different to what we're used to.' Castiel said. They both chuckled. 'Although, I am a little bit nervous. I've never done this before.'

Dean laughed. 'And you think I have? I've never even thought of dating, least of all settling down because of what we do. But, every time I see you and think of you, which is all the time, I just can't go another day without being authentic with it, you know?' Dean kissed his hand and started walking towards the door, he turned to Castiel one more time.

'I'll see you at the altar, future Mr. Winchester.' They smiled at each other. Castiel added the finishing touches to his white tux. He tied a small black belt on his right calf and slid a tiny silver blade and put his socks on. 'Just a precaution.' He muttered and smiled to himself.

When he walked out the door, he saw a man wearing a black suit and grinning widely at him. He was the last person he expected to come to his wedding.

'Balthazar? What on earth are you doing here?!' Balthazar offered his elbow to him.

'Just because I've lost contact doesn't mean I'd miss your wedding for all the problems in the world. I'm here to give you away, but I'm afraid I can't stay for the reception.' He smiled but Castiel was still speechless. 'Oh come on, chap. Say something.' Castiel hooked his arm on his elbow and started walking slowly down the aisle. He looked at Dean and he winked at him.

'Wait a minute, did Dean put you up to this?!' Castiel looked at him knowingly.

'Suprise!' Castiel can't believe what he just heard. He disappeared for four months and now he just sprouts like a mushroom.

'A surprise indeed. Where have you been all this time?' They continued to walk slowly and Castiel pretended to smile to the crowd.

'Two months ago, Dean summoned me to tell me the good news. Of course, my first thought was something had happened to you only to find out that you got engaged. I was in London taking care of business as usual - ' Castiel cut him off. 'And what business is that?' Castiel gripped his elbow tighter as if he was urging him to tell the truth.

'I've been searching for a human.' They stopped in their tracks only for Castiel to realize he was already in front of the altar and Dean was in front of him smiling lovingly at him. Balthazar gave his hand to Dean and gave Dean a gentle pat on the back. Balthazar went to his seat and mouthed: 'Talk later.'

Castiel was able to turn his focus back on Dean.

'I now pronounce you man and husband.'

author's note: henlo! I've been debating whether or not to go back to writing my fanfic and I'm so glad I made the right decision. from here on out, the chapters are going to be about Dean and Castiel's marriage, among other things. although this is not your typical one-shot, i don't wanna write a separate book about Cass and Dean's marriage. enjoy, peeps!
