Dean always loved how the shower hit his body, the warm water smoothly flowing down his arms down to his toned abs. He remembered the first time he saw Castiel. He felt a sdden connection to him, it's like they were destined to meet. He liked the feeling that he was somehow drawn to him. He brushed off his thoughts and dried up and decided to left Castiel a voicemail.
''Hey, Castiel, it's me, Dean. I'm gonna be away for a while coz I have to get back to work but I'll still call you. And I look forward to our dinner on Saturday. I miss you.'' Dean hung up and he started to put his stuff in his bag. After a few minutes he heard Sam pull up with a pack of beer.
'Hey, I'm just gonna take a shower real quick and we'll be on our way, okay?'
'No, go ahead. Take your time. Concentrate. I'll start putting things in the trunk. ' Dean said and chuckled, Sam shook his head. When the trip began, Sam broke the silence.
'Hasn't return your calls yet?' Sam asked.
'What? No. I was just looking at the time.' Dean looked away.
'Dean, you have a wrist watch, you check your phone every 10 minutes. If he likes you, he'll call you back, if not then he doesn't like you.'
'Okay, first of all, he likes me, okay? Coz if he didn't, he wouldn't have said yes. Second, I check my phone every 15 minutes. I care for him.'
'Here I am thinking it was the other way around.'
'What? What do you mean?'
'Oh you know well what I mean. I thought you 're the one who didn't want to be emotionally attached because of what we do. We go from place to place and we don't stop. I mean, look what happened to me and the girl I met with because of my dog Riot? I chose this because of her. But what are you gonna do about Castiel now?'
'I thought so too. But with him, I feel different. I feel good when I'm with him, he's not the basic type, he's one of a kind. I just want him to be happy with me and I'll do whatever it takes to be with him.'
'I'm happy for you, you do know that, right?'
'You are?'
'Of course, I am. Coz you have finally found someone worth it. Just like you said, he's not just some guy in a bar that agrees to a one night stand. He's not like that. And I'm glad that you're taking this step by step, but don't forget what I told you.'
'I won't.' When they reached Phoenix they booked into a motel and checked his phone again. After three hours, his phone finally rang and picked up right away.
''Hello?'' Dean said.
''Dean? I got your message. I'm sorry if I called just now. I was busy with work because I work night shifts, perks of being a nurse. How are you?'' Dean smiled.
''I'm a lot better now, now that I've heard your voice. I miss you.''
''I miss you too, but when are you coming back?''
''I'll be back in a few weeks, I'll be there Saturday. I promise.''
''Don't make promises you can't keep.'' Castiel reminded.
''You're too precious to me. I won't do that to you and I'm really glad you got my message.''
''Yeah, you're starting to grown on me.'' He chuckled.
''Same here. I have to go now, okay? Duty calls. I'll call you later, don't skip meals.''
''Roger that, Sir. Be careful.'' He smiled and they both hung up.
'You ready, for tomorrow?' Sam asked.
'Oh yeah. Now, let's get some shut eye.' The next morning, Dean and Sam are getting ready to play detective to extract information from the local PD, while in questioning Dean's phone rang. It was Castiel.
