Chapter Fourteen: Hope

"What have you done!?" Mephiles roared throwing things across the room, Silver flinched lowering his head, "I'm sorry!" Silver trembled in fear, he was so stupid, how could he turn Blaze? Thinking this could help stop this fight between all of them, if only he didn't kill those hunters.

"If only I didn't exist." Silver stared at the floor tearing up, Mephiles glared down at Silver before turning his gaze to Blaze who was beside him, "don't think I'm giving you consent to live! My blood runs through your veins!" Mephiles growled, Blaze didn't flinch but in her eyes she was terrified, was this the power of a pureblood? Able to just make anyone bow to him, but some reason his orders sounded muffle to her, like he didn't have complete power over her. 

"I live to stop this fight between us! That is my goal, Silver is aiding me to stop it!" Blaze spoke up, Mephiles got angered by her talking back, "how dare you!" Mephiles raised his hand ready to smack Blaze but got interupted by the door swinging open, "Mephiles! Rouge has woken up, can you feed her more blood?" Mephiles anger slowly faded away into worry, "of course!" Mephiles walked past Silver and Blaze not even giving a glance to Silver, the pain of betrayal still stung in Mephiles heart.

Once Mephiles left the room Silver broke into tears, "I'm sorry! I shouldn't have woken him up! He looks tired," Silver sobbed into the floor while Blaze patted his back, "woken him up?" Blaze said curious. "Purebloods go to sleep for a couple of months to regain energy... They need it so they can keep strength but if Mephiles doesn't sleep he'll take even a longer sleep maybe years and by then the vampires who need his blood to heal or to aid the weak, we'll die in this region." Silver said trembling, "I see." Blaze glanced to the door noticing one of the servants peaking in before scurring off. 

"Ah.. I wonder how Sonic is." Blaze said glancing toward the windows. 

[Hours Before This]

"Why won't you tell me what happened?!" Shadow said hitting the wall, Blaze glanced to Rouge's corpse, but beside her was a resting Sonic who just smelled like a fellow vampire, "I told you what happened... Me and Rouge were being chased by a werewolf." Blaze said turning away, she wasn't going to tell anyone that Sonic was the werewolf, what's worse is Sonic has vampire blood in which is forbidden. A Hyrbid.

Not even Purebloods can turn a werewolf into a vampire, it's never been heard of but there was one case of a werewolf pack leaders being able to turn with the smallest blood of a vampire in a dying state. It was never attempted since werewolves stay away from civilizations and live on their own terms far in the mountains. "That doesn't answer anything! Why was a werewolf here?! And why is Sonic a vampire?!" Blaze growled annoyed by Shadow's pesturing, "look right now we need to get Rouge to Mephiles so she can survive right!?" Blaze said annoyed, "...ugh yeah, but hunters are crawling all over the town so we have to take the long way around but that'll take to long she'll die." 

Blaze sighed, "she can drink my blood, it should help since Mephiles blood is still lingering in my veins." Shadow's eyes widen before hesitating. "...Fine." Shadow turned away allowing Blaze to cut her wrist open allowing blood to leak, slowly she fed Rouge which helped stopped a bit of the blood loss but it wasn't strong enough but gave them enough time to return her to Mephiles. "You guys go in and tell Mephiles everything I'll stick with Tails to watch Sonic.. He might get hungry." Shadow said putting Rouge in Silvers arms, "are you sure?"

"Mephiles won't kill you guys right away, but tell him about the werewolf that should stop him from doing anything stupid for a while." Shadow said walking away holding Sonic, "Tails." Tails stopped in his tracks looking at Blaze, "can I talk to you for a second?" Tails glared, he knows she knows what Sonic is, what bothered him is why she wasn't told anyone.
