NAILEA LAYED ON THE GROUND of her family's hut. She was playing with a random feather she had found and was blowing it up and down, never letting it touch her lips. It was only a few hours til eclipse and she was bored out of her mind. The rest of her family was up and about doing whatever it was they were doing.
"Hey Dad is it okay if me and Kiri go to the lab with Spider?" Nailea's younger brother Lo'ak asked.
"Me too!" Tuk added.
Neytiri immediately made a disapproving face but refrained from saying anything, knowing Lo'ak and Kiri would go anyway.
"Sure just stay out of trouble" Jake replied. As Nailea continued to play with the feather and pay no mind to her family, Neytiri approached her and kneeled down next to her.
"Nai, do you want to go with your brother and sisters?"
"No I'll stay here" Nailea said still infatuated by the feather in her hands.
"Are you sure? You could come with us and Neteyam if you wish. We will be going on patrol." Neytiri insisted. The thought almost made Nailea barf, she would like nothing less than going on patrol, she went one time and absolutely hated it she claimed it was the most boring thing ever.
"No mom its fine really, I'll stay here"
"Nailea you can't just stay here all day firefly." Jake stated walking towards his eldest daughter. Nailea instantly rolled her eyes at the childish nickname, he he been calling her firefly since she could remember. "Hey why don't you go to dance practice today? I hear the girls are planning a big dance, I'm sure you'd do great, you're the best dancer in the clan" Nailea scowled, she didn't want to go to dance practice. She used to go quite a lot but she's not exactly welcome amongst the girls anymore.
"Dad the girls at dance told me they'd rather cut their queue off than ever talk to me again." Jake was shocked to hear his daughters words, he didn't understand why people would say such a thing to his angel of a daughter.
"Why would they say that? Do I need to talk to their parents?" Nailea groaned at Jakes words she was annoyed with the whole thing and she didn't want to talk about it anymore.
"It's cuz Nailea here kissed all of the girls boyfriends" Lo'ak laughed along with Kiri who couldn't help but chuckle. Neteyam hit the back of Lo'aks head, he didn't like when anyone talked about his twin.
"Is that true Nai?" Neytiri questioned. Nailea groaned loudly before swiftly standing up and getting off the floor.
"You know what, I think I'm gunna go hang out with Jose at the lab." Nailea picked up a brush one of the female scientists had gifted her and began through her long, shiny, conditioned hair. Of course Nailea knew about shampoo and conditioner and she used them quite frequently.
"You've been spending a lot of time with him recently." Jake looked at his daughter intently "Is there something I should know?"
"Nope, nothing at all."

"Nai come on, I gotta get back to work." Jose smiled as he tried his best to pull away from a kiss. Nailea rolled her eyes and got off of Jose's lap. Ever since Jose got his avatar, Nailea had tried consistently to sleep with him, but he wouldn't budge.
"Eywa Jose you are sooo boring." Nailea complained "How come you never want to do anything with me? Do you think I'm ugly?" Nailea pouted. She knew she wasn't ugly, she just wanted to hear Jose say it. Jose stood up from his chair, and of course, towered over Nailea.
"Of course not Nai, you're gorgeous." He said bringing his finger under Nailea's chin, Nailea's hand immediately grabbed his wrist.
"Then why don't you-"
"Hey kids." Nailea was cut off by Norm walking into the room, making her and Jose quickly pull apart.
"Hey Norm." Jose greeted while Nailea just did a little wave.
"Jose I was meaning to ask if you could help me look at this sample."
"Sure"
"Great" Norm smiled and walked out of the room, leaving Jose and Nailea alone.
"Sorry Nai it'll be quick I promise." Jose gave Nailea a quick kiss before walking out of the room. Nailea shook her head and stood up to pick up her favorite magazine, it was one that taught you how to style your hair, she couldn't really read the words but she liked to look at the pictures. She laid back on Jose's bed and began to "read."

Nailea and Jose were now finally spending time together, mostly just making out. Jose loved being with Nailea, but he felt that they never really talked, they just made out. It was almost like there was no other way to get to know Nailea. As they continued their make out session Norm stormed into the room.
"Can you knock?!" Jose exclaimed but Norm completely ignored him.
"Nai you have to go home. Your dad said there was an emergency and that he wanted you home immediately. Jose I also need to talk to you."
An emergency? Nailea simply nodded her head and said goodbye to Jose before leaving the lab and going straight home. When she arrived she saw her siblings outside of her family's tent, it was clear that they were eavesdropping.
"What are you-" Lo'ak shushed Nailea as he pulled her down next to him. Nailea got closer to the tent to hear what her parents were saying.
"You cannot ask this! This is our home!" Neytiri spoke.
"He had our children! He had them under his knife!" Jake replied almost angrily. He? Knife? What was going on?
"What happened?" Nailea asked her siblings in a hushed voice as she backed away from the tent. Her siblings gave each other looks, almost as if none of them wanted to say anything. "Neteyam" Nailea knew her brother could never keep anything away from her and she was right.
Neteyam told her what had happened. Quaritch, their fathers nemesis, had returned. He told her about the danger they had faced and that they had taken Spider. Nailea immediately thought of Jose, but for once, she actually thought about his feelings. His father, whom he had fought so hard to forget about, was back and his younger brother had been kidnapped. As the siblings continued to talk, Jake called them into their family tent.
"Dad" Nailea spoke as she gave her father a tight hug. She was happy that nothing had happened to him.
"It's alright babygirl, we're alright." Jake said as he held his daughter tightly. Obviously Jake was happy that all of his children were safe, but he was over the moon at the fact that Nailea hadn't been there to experience any of it. He couldn't bare to see her be afraid. Nailea and Jake slowly pulled away from their hug before Jake started speaking. "Your mother and I have come to a decision. It wasn't easy but we think it'll be for the best."
"What is it Dad?" Kiri spoke up as she nervously played with her fingers.
"We're leaving the clan."
