NAILEA CLUNG ON TIGHTLY to Aonung. She didn't want to be in the water alone since she obviously couldn't swim, but she also wanted to be as close to Aonung as she could. Tsireya, watched as her brother basically carried the girl through the water and she found it quite strange, Aonung had never done anything that noble before, except for maybe Koa. When Lo'ak noticed what was going on his suppressed a chuckle, looks like he would have to make huge moves in order to catch up to Nai.
"Nailea!" Tsireya cheered as her brother and Nailea approached her and the rest of the group. "I'm so glad you came! Are you ready to start your lessons?"
"Uh yeah" Nailea chuckled nervously, trying to muster up some sort of confidence, but she was way out of her element. "So ready."
"Great, you got this right?" Aonung put both of his hands on Nailea's waist and he effortlessly moved her towards Tsireya.
"Well actually, I've got my hands full with Lo'ak and Neteyam." Tsireya insisted, softly pushing Nailea back towards Aonung as he continued to hold her. Sure he was mean, but he wouldn't let her drown. "You can teach her right?"
Nailea looked at Aonung with big hopeful eyes, she didn't want Tsireya or Rotxo to teach her, she wanted Aonung. Aonung was so close to saying no but he really just didn't feel like arguing so he gave in and said yes.
"Alright forest girl" Aonung spoke as he walked over to the shallow parts of the reef where the water was to his waist. "I'm going to put you down okay?" Nailea let out a lovey sigh as she admired his face.
"Do you have to?" Aonung rolled his eyes at her words before slowly placing her down. Nailea stood on her own and felt the coolness of the water against her skin. She looked down and saw how some fish swam near her.
"Okay first you must be comfortable in the water so take a few steps and get used to your surroundings." Aonung spoke to the girl looking at her intently. Nailea did as he said and took a few steps, gliding her hands in the water. "Okay now get on your knees." Nailea quickly looked at Aonung and smirked, clearly thinking his words had a double meaning, Aonung immediately rolled his eyes as he understood what she was thinking. Nonetheless, Nailea did as he said and got on her knees, the water now reached just above her chest and she watched as Aonung kneeled right in front of her too.
"Now what?" Nailea questioned, smiling kindly at Aonung and tilting her head to the side.
"Okay now move yourself with your knees and use your arms to push you forward, like this." Aonung demonstrated what he wanted Nailea to do and she soon followed along. She wasn't really listening to what he was saying, which would prove to be a problem on a different day, but for now the girl enjoyed being around her newfound crush. "Alright, you ready to go deeper?"
"Deeper?" Nailea asked turning her attention to Aonung, it was clear she was intimidated by his request. He saw how scared she was, no matter how hard she tried to cover it.
"Yeah, you can't stay in the shallow water forever."
"I...can...can we do that on a different day? I'm not really too confident in my skills just yet." Nailea spoke nervously, Eywa did she feel stupid right now. Aonung stared at the girl blankly for a few moments before sighing.
"Would it...would it help if I held your hand?" Nailea was instantly intrigued by the idea and she was quick to nod her head and take Aonung's hand in hers. The metkayina boy let out a breath before slowly walking towards the deeper parts of the water, Nailea being right by his side. "Okay now just move your arms in circles to keep you up."
"Wait!" Nailea exclaimed, now completely holding onto Aonung's arm. "What if I drown?"
"You won't forest girl." Aonung spoke in a more frustrated tone "I won't let you." He looked deep into Nailea's eyes when he spoke and Nailea looked deeply into his. It took her only a second to recognize that Aonung was being truthful, he wouldn't let her drown. The forest girl slowly let go of Aonung and used her arms and legs to keep her afloat, Aonung couldn't help but chuckle slightly. She looked kind of like a baby, taking its first swim, it was almost...cute? He guessed. "Now, take a deep breath in and hold it, do not let it go okay?" Nailea nodded her head and did what he said, Aonung grabbed her hand and pulled her down with him into the water.
Nailea slightly freaked out as she was now fully submerged into the sea but she remembered what Aonung said and she held her breath. Aonung continued to hold her hand as he moved forward in the water. Nailea followed close behind as she took in the beauty of the reef, she honestly couldn't believe she was swimming. Aonung would look back very few seconds just to make sure that the girl was still with him. After a few moments he let go of the girls hand and let her swim on her own.
Now Aonung had a girlfriend, that much was true, but still he was just a man. He couldn't help but watch Nailea's body as she swam around while she explored the things close to her. He took note of every curve and the graceful way her body moved. By just watching her his mind went to...well different places but he snapped out of it once he saw Nailea swim upwards to the surface. He followed her and he watched her as she breathed heavily.
"How do you hold your breath for that long?" Nailea questioned, still struggling to catch her breath.
"I just do" Aonung chuckled teasingly. "I'm sure my sister will get around to teaching you." He said as he began to make his way to the shallow part of the reef before walking towards land and getting out of the water, Nailea following him every step of the way.
"Oh" Nailea gave him an "upset" look "I was kinda hoping you would teach me."
"We'll see what happens." Aonung shrugged, showing little to no interest in the girl. He had finished his job, so now, he was done with her. "I think that's been enough for today forest girl. I guess...you did okay."
"Thank you." Nailea smiled, she could see that Aonung was losing interest so she knew she had to do something, and fast. She walked close to the boy and placed a quick kiss to his cheek. "See you later Aonung." The girl gave him one last flirty smile before walking away, leaving the boy speechless...and blushing.
Aonung couldn't believed what had just happened. A girl, who was not his girlfriend, kissed his cheek! A forest girl for that matter. He looked at the girl as she walked away and he knew right then and there that he had to stay away from her. She was clearly only there to bring him problems. He couldn't let that happen.
