THE SULLY'S SAT DOWN TO EAT dinner after a very long day of learning the ways of the Metkayina. Nailea was much more chipper than she was in the morning, all thanks to Aonung. Her happiness didn't go unnoticed by her parents, they were happy that their kids were learning and getting to know the place.
"So how were the swimming lessons today?" Jake asked his children.
"They were really good! Tsireya and Rotxo taught us how to swim and we saw all of the fish!" Tuk rambled as she stuffed her face with the food Neytiri had prepared.
"Someone spent more time flirting with Tsireya than actually swimming though." Kiri added, looking at Lo'ak who gave her an annoyed eye roll.
"Lo'ak please do not mess around with that girl, she's the chiefs daughter, leave it at friends please." Jake spoke to his son. He didn't think it would be a good idea for Lo'ak to get romantically involved with the chiefs daughter. Back in the forest he had heard of Lo'aks reputation and he didn't want to risk it.
"Dad didn't you date, then marry, then have kids with the chiefs daughter?" Kiri teased her father, everyone giggled while Jake tried to come up with excuses.
"Did you like the lessons Nai?" Jake asked his eldest daughter, trying to change the subject.
"Oh I'm sure she did, Aonung basically carried her around the whole time." Lo'ak laughed along with Kiri, Neteyam allowed himself to crack a smile.
"Shut up Lo'ak." Nailea rolled her eyes. "But yeah I really liked the lessons, Aonung was a very good teacher. Dad, do you think you could ask Tonowari if Aonung could be my teacher for the rest of the things we learn?"
"Sure firefly." Jake smiled at his daughter, willing to do anything to make her happy.
"I'm glad you all are making friends and learning so much" Neytiri smiled at her kids. "Now let's eat." The rest of the dinner was spent with usual family talk and the occasional small arguments between siblings. But Nailea continued to replay her moments with Aonung in her head. She was excited to see where things would go with him.

Aonung stood by the edge of his family's mauri, reeling in a net he had tossed out a few minutes prior, when Tonowari approached him.
"Looks like a good catch today." Tonowari said as he saw the net Aonung had thrown full of fish. Aonung simply looked back and smiled at his father, his approval meaning so much to him. "Maybe you could teach Nailea to fish some time." Aonung was confused as to why his father had mentioned Nailea.
"Nailea?"
"Yes, Jake Sully told me that Nailea really enjoyed learning from you." Tonowari said, kneeling down to untangle the net. "Which is why you will remain being her teacher."
"What?" Aonung stood up immediately. He didn't want to be Nailea's teacher. He didn't want anything to do with her or her family.
"Is that a problem Aonung?" Tonowari asked, but Aonung knew it wasn't really a question. It was more of a statement saying you better do what I say.
"Dad I...I don't think teaching her is a good idea."
"And why not?"
"Well...how will Koa feel? I mean you know how girls are, she's going to be jealous if she sees me spending so much time with the freak...I mean Nailea."
"Aonung, I'm sure Koa won't mind, she's a very nice girl. Besides it's not like I'm asking you to do anything else with Jakes daughter, I simply want you to teach her the ways of the village that's all." Tonowari walked towards Aonung and placed a hand in his shoulder. Aonung knew that there was no getting out of this, he'd have to be Nailea's teacher wether he wanted to or not. And in this instance, he really didn't want to.
Just something short and sweet today! Hope u liked it 💓
