Chapter 21 - JaThea Jammin'

Thea's POV

Nandito na kami sa lounge. Hala andaming tao ngayon compared the last time na nandito ako.

Nandun na si Jade sa stage nagsasound check.

"Ahm, good evening po. Thank you for coming over. We hope you enjoy our songs."

Nag-umpisa ng tumugtog ang band nila Jade. I'm content seeing her this way. Yung choice of music pa nito, panalo. Sya ata ang binabalik balikan ng customers dito eh.

After nung 4 songs, nagsalita si bae.

"Ahm for the last two songs po namin, I wanna call up my bestfriend Thea to help us here kasi po nililibre ko pa sya ng drinks nya ngayon eh alam naman po naten na di na uso ang libre ngayon. So, Thea... c'mon! Paki-cheer naman po naten."

Oh-kay? Di ko to inasahan ah.

The crowd is chanting my name so tumayo narin ako ang umakyat sa stage. Nakakahiya talaga tong moment na to... tumakbo kaya ako? Naman eh!

Binulongan ko si Jade. "Bruha ka talaga. Wag moko sisihin pag nagsilayasan ang mga tao dito."

Natawa sya sa sinabi ko.

"Dream naten to, bae. Let's fulfill this dream."

Inayos ni Jade yung strap nung isang guitar and isinuot sakin.

"Wag kang kabahan, bae. Ito na ang guitar, ako na magkakabit ng capo, ito narin ang pick. Chill, ok? Naks! rocker na rocker ah!" Jade smiled at me as if ako na ang pinakamagaling na artist sa music industry ng Pilipinas.

"Guys if you know the song, DON'T sing it. Hehe... joke. Sabayan nyo po kami."

Senenyasan nya 'ko. "Ready?" She mouthed.

"Ready," I replied.

"Isang matamis na palakpakan naman dyan guys. This is Dusk Till Dawn. Hit it!"

Confident talaga tong si Jade na maitatawid ko to hanggang sa katapusan hahaha...

I started to play anyway. And sing. Sumasabay sya saken. God, I missed our jamming!

I open up my eyes and see
the rules are there to set me free
