Sweating, you kicked the side of someone's head, using the leg of a dragon to boost you up, letting you land on top of a Claws back. You kicked them with your heel, hitting them unconscious. You didn't kill them. You couldn't. Not again.

With a slightly stumble, you tightened the gauze around your arm, though most of it was already cauterized. Bringing your hands to your sides, ready to fight the next soldier, the ground shook.

Or, it shook for you before everyone else. In a few seconds, the whole of Imperium was shaking. Underneath the stones paving the palace courtyard, an object began rising out of the ground.

"What now?!" Lloyd yelled, shooting a green orb at a Claw. He held his dragon to a pause, as most of the fighting ceased, everyone just stared at the triangle rise from the ground.

The black triangle, adorned with gold accents, a large torii gate, and a wide, marble door rose from the earth, leaving dust in its wake. Everyone stood in silence, watching it, waiting for whatever was going to happen to.. well.. happen.

The doors burst open and-

Kai? How the hell did Kai get here? And beside him-

Zane. He was alive.

You ran forward hugging the Nindroid in a tight embrace. "Zane! You're- how are you here? Where were you?" Shaking, you sniffled, momentarily forgetting you were in the middle of a battle, as if you were just back at the monastery before any of this had happened.

He chuckled, that monotone, reverberated voice. "I was inside of the Second Monastery, most specifically, the self-identitifying Imperium Monastery. I do not recall how I got there though. May I ask what these.. creatures are? I cannot get an accurate reading on them."

Kai patted his back, sighing. "Photacs, basically light that can't be hurt. I thought there was only one? Why.. did Sora build more?"

"Long story short, she was forced to. But all you really need to know, is that we're with the dragons, and the orange guys are bad." Lloyd explained, perking up slightly. "Oh, also, Kai's illegitimate child is with us too."

He titled his head. "What do you me-"

WyldFyre atop her dragon suddenly came sprinting through the area, blasting fire as she screamed how they should go to hell. Yup. She definitely acted enough like him.

Rolling up his sleeves, he huffed. "What?! There can't be two fires! I'm fire! Hey! Kid!"

You watched him run off as you and Lloyd continued fighting. "So that- That just happened!" You shouted over dodging and punching.

"Next time we have a big fight, let's make sure our friends come before the fight actually starts!" He scoffed, knocking a sword away. Backs against each other, Lloyd huffed as he grabbed your sweaty palm. "You doing all right? Not dizzy or anything..? You're not going to pass out again, Love?"

What was with him and nicknames recently? He was gonna be the end of you in the best way possible. Rubbing his knuckles, you shook your head. "Sitting out for a few minutes seemed to have helped, I'm sure I'll be fine." ..Were you though? You had.. you had done that to someone. Releasing his hand you kicked the head of a guard Kai had knocked in your direction.

Said hot-head groaned, slashing at one of the Photacs, his sword bouncing off. "Why are these things so annoying?! When will they get hurt!?"

Lloyd flipped his hood back up, tucking in his waves. "You can't. They're indestructible. We're buying time for Sora and Arin to get Riyu, I- I think they should be back soon.."
