IV ~ Lilly's Diner

Adeline tightens her apron whilst fixing her 90s waitress-like outfit at the diner she worked at, the dress was a light baby blue whilst the lining of her pockets were a pearly white, ame with the shorts she wore underneath. She also wore low cut white vans with the outfit and some ankle socks with a touch of flare at the ends.

"hello and welcome to Lilly's diner, my name's Adeline and i'll be your waitress for the night" Adeline has the 'couple' there menus, they order and she writes it down on her notepad before handing it up and returning to the two adults "would you like any drinks whilst you wait?"

"no" the guy says in a harsh tone after the wife tries to say something "uh what about you ma'am"

"she doesn't want anything"

"i'd like to hear that from her" Adeline looks over at the woman who trembled in fear of the man she had been kidnapped by "nothing" she chokes out "see" he says in a rude tone "it wasn't hard to let her answer either"

Adeline walks away from them and up to one of their best cooks who was also an intimidating man you see the people on table five" she whispers and the bulk man nods "I think the guy's abusing the woman- she has bruises all over and he barely let her speak"

"i'll handle it, try keep them here for a while" Adeline nods before returning with water "sorry but we're a little busy so your orders are going to be a bit late" she forces a smile at the threatening man "just hurry up"

Adeline leaves to serve other people and bring back empty plates, after a while she leans on the bar table with one of her co-workers "Im getting a bad vibe from that guy" the ginger haired woman that was wearing a pink version of Adeline's work uniform mean mugs the raven haired man.

"me too, something isn't right about them" she notices how the man couldn't sit still and bounced his leg up and down while biting his nails as if that was his dinner "table 5" 

Adeline notices their cook going up to deliver the order and slips a pen and a bit of folded paper to the brunette woman who seemed as if she was going to cry at any moment.

"c-can I go to the bathroom" she looks down not wanting to look in the murder's eyes "you have a minute" she scurries into the bathroom and reads the note asking her to tick the box if she needs help, she ticks the box and scribbles that she's been kidnapped on the note before folding it back up and leaving the pen in the bathroom.

The two have dinner- well the guy does, the woman hasn't touched her food. Every employee was watching the man closely and police were waiting outside "i'll take these" Adeline slips her fingers under the plates to grab the hidden note.

"she needs help- says he kidnapped her" Adeline recites the note word for word and they turn to see the man looking out the window. He sees the police cars and holds a gun to the woman's head as well as another pointed to the staff and few remaining customers.

"everyone, over there" he demands and points to a corner in the diner, they all slowly walk over with their hands raised "on your knees" they obey and kneel down "where's the back door" an employee points to the kitchen exit before returning their hands on their head.

He drags the woman out and leaves "he's going through the back" the cook was a quick thinker so the first thing he did was tell the cops, but Adeline was frozen in place. she had really thought that she'd die if she had made one wrong move.

Everyone was being questioned one by one on what they saw and all statements led back to Adeline since she was the one serving them, after getting called she explains everything from start to finish.

it turned out he was a killer of some sort 'i need to start watching the news more' she thinks "if you don't mind we'd like to take you to the station just for your safety" the officer tells her and she nods.

Adeline sat in the waiting room and began to fall asleep due to the amount of time she had spent there "Adeline Miller?"

"yes" she rubs her eyes to wake herself up "you should be good to go"
