Chapter 13

"So-Yun, look. Do you like it?"

"Mmm... yeah, that's nice" So-Yun said.

"Do you think mom will like it?"

"Of course... mine is not that nice tough..."

"I don't think so. I think she'll like it too!. I told you, it takes time"

"Jennie..."

"Hm?"

"Do you think Eun-Seo likes me?"

"Mom really likes you. Do you like her?"

"Yeah... I miss my mom... Eun-Seo is... different"

"Mom is nice. Is your mom nice?"

"She is but... she doesn't show a lot of affection..."

"Does she likes flowers too?"

"I think yes... well... not mine for sure!"

"Do you want some of mine?  You can take them if you want"

"No thanks. I'll learn eventually."

Jennie smile at her while doing other flower crowns. So-Yun looked at her. She was smiling too. 

Eun-Seo was calling for them. there was an orange-pink sunset in the sky. So-Yun could feel the warm on her skin and the smell of flowers and grass in the air.

*So-Yun woke up. She looked around and what she could see was not a sunset or a playground. It was just a dark space. She was laying on the floor, a few steps away from Taehyung. In order to make a bed, Taehyung had the idea of using newspaper as a "Sofa". the air was all dusty and her knee and elbow were still hurting. Not that bad but it was kinda of annoying. 

Her eyes were teary as she was dreaming about her sister.

She was sitting on the floor thinking: "She would be so afraid..." and "At the same time she would be so excited... Taehyung is here..." So-Yun kinda laugh but it was a sad laugh, like the ones you take when you are thinking about a happy moment of your life and now you know you'll never have it again with the same person.

"Have you heard something?" 

Taehyung woke up too thinking So-Yun heard something and they were in danger.

"Hm?" So-Yun asked.

"Are you ok?"

"I had a dream... a nice dream..."

"It was her?"

So-Yun nodded while wipping with her hand the tear coming out from her right eyes.

"My parents... My brother... they had... the same fate..." he said while sniffing. 

He was about to cry too, thought So-Yun.

"I'm sorry" She said.

They were both silent.

"How did you find me?"

"What?" He asked.

"How did you find me? there were hundreds of people..."

"I was running from those thing. I was hiding with my family in a supermarket and those cubes found us. They crushed the windows and people started to run, trying to escape. I couldn't believe to all those things people were talking about until i saw a person disappear in front of my eyes... It was an old woman... Me and my family were running... I couldn't see my mom anymore. My father run back and said i had to take care of my brother. I didn't listen to him. Me and my brother followed him and... you know. My mom was the first one and my dad was trying to saving her but it was just the second one..." Taehyung was crying. He put his hand in front of his eyes so So-Yun couldn't see his tears.
