Adrian stormed toward Ero, yelling "you Bastard!" He then grabbed Ero, shoving him to the ground, creating a loud bang that echoed through the entire cafeteria, causing all the students to stand up in shock.

As Ero reached to get up, Adrian delivered a punch straight to his face, eliciting a collective "woah" from the entire school as they witnessed the altercation.

Ero's nose began to bleed, and with fury in his eyes, he retaliated by kicking Adrian before throwing another punch. Adrian staggered backward from the impact, prompting ,"Hurry, let's go see what's going on," Aria urged, motioning for us to follow her.

We found ourselves caught in the midst of the crowd, tightly packed as we observed the two boys, both bloodied and disheveled, appearing exhausted from their altercation. Adrian, however, persisted, admonishing, "You shouldn't have touched Hazel in the first place." I couldn't help but roll my eyes at his comment. Ero, with a smirk, retorted, "She isn't yours anymore," as he grabbed Adrian's collar and continued to throw punches. Suddenly, Hazel intervened, shouting, "Stop it, you two! You're both being so embarrassing!"

Attempting to intervene, Hazel pleaded with Adrian, "Adrian, leave him alone!" She pushed him back, but her efforts were futile against the boys' strength, and she was pushed away from the scene. The commotion caused a loud giggle to escape from me.

As they paused their fight upon hearing my giggling, Hazel approached me, asking incredulously, "Did you just laugh at me?"

I burst into louder laughter, placing my hand over my mouth, "Oh my gosh, did I really just laugh?" I admitted as I walked closer to her. "Yes, I did," I confirmed with a chuckle.

Observing the boys standing behind Hazel, I couldn't help but comment, "You two look like quite a mess." Turning to Aria briefly before facing them again, I gestured, "Quite the spectacle. Please, carry on. And my apologies for the interruption."

Hazel's insult, "You bitch," provoked me to shoot Adrian a scornful look. "You're shameless," I shot back. Closing the distance to Hazel, I whispered, "Did that kiss thrill you?" She flinched, nervously licking her lower lip. Before she could reply, Ero intervened with fury in his eyes, "Get out of here!" I maintained a smile, addressing him, "You're utterly revolting, Ero."

"Do not call me by my name," he growled, attempting to intimidate me. I met his challenge with a question, "But why? Is it bestowed upon you by a god?" My remark visibly enraged him, evident in the fire in his eyes as he shoved me back. "Shut up, you ****!" he spat out angrily. Unable to restrain himself, he pushed me again, his aggression escalating. "I already warned you, bitch," he seethed. As he pushed me once more, I grabbed his hand to steady myself before I could fall to the ground, murmuring, "I hate you too."

As the grip on him weakened, he pushed my hand away sharply, demanding, "What are you doing?" Perplexed, I inquired, "Are you alright?" Suddenly, his nose started bleeding, and he doubled over in pain, clutching his hand. The entire school watched as I called out his name, "Ero!" But no one moved to help. Eventually, one of his friends cautiously approached, asking, "Are you okay, man?" Angered, he shoved his hand away, yelling, "Don't touch me!" The bystanders began to disperse, murmuring "This is boring," as they left the scene.

As Ero's agitation escalated, I signaled to Aria to bring someone over for assistance. Despite his wild demeanor, no one dared to step in, and Ero stubbornly refused help from his own team. Desperation led me to call out to Adrian, pleading for him to intervene, but he merely smirked and commented, "He deserves it. I told you, Ero, you don't belong here." Ignoring the pain, Ero rose to confront Adrian, insisting, "Only you deserve this pain, not me." It was evident that he was too weak to continue fighting, yet his stubbornness persisted as he shouted at me to leave him alone. Despite his resistance, I couldn't ignore the sight of his glowing dark scar, an otherworldly phenomenon that compelled me to maintain my grip on his hands. "You'll be alright. I'll find someone to help you soon," I reassured him, determined to stay by his side despite his attempts to push me away.

He spoke slowly, his grip on my hand tightening painfully as he uttered, "Do not let anyone come close to me." Despite the discomfort, I couldn't bring myself to release his hand, nodding in understanding. "Take me away from here," he requested, his voice filled with urgency. With a worried nod, I helped him by wrapping his arms around my neck and supporting his weight as he leaned on me. Aria attempted to assist, but I signaled for her to stay back, murmuring, "I'll handle it." As I began to guide Ero away, Adrian intercepted, urging me to stay out of it, claiming that Ero deserved the punishment he was receiving and that I couldn't possibly understand what was happening to him.

Frustrated, I snapped at Adrian, "Stop with your constant judgments," before turning away from him. "You're not even behaving like a human," I accused him, my anger simmering. As I tried to walk away, Adrian seized my hand, issuing a warning, "You're going to get yourself into trouble if you help him. I'm warning you." Disregarding his caution, I pulled my hand away from his grasp. "By you?" I retorted incredulously. "Stop attempting to dictate my actions," I declared firmly, determined to continue walking away with Ero.

As we walked, I couldn't shake off the guilt and worry gnawing at me. "Are you okay?" I asked, my voice laden with concern and remorse. Under my touch, I felt his body drenched in sweat, his hair slick with moisture. Gently, I laid him down on the infirmary bed, murmuring an apology. His face contorted in pain, he reached for my hands, placing them on his burning cheeks. "Oh my god, you're burning up," I exclaimed, intending to fetch a hot towel, but he clutched my hand, refusing to let go. "Stay here," I urged softly, meeting his gaze. "But you're burning," I reiterated, my worry deepening.

Sitting down beside him, I observed his condition, but he interrupted my gaze with a gruff remark, "Stop staring. I'm not dead." I quickly averted my eyes and inquired, "What happened to you?" Suddenly, I noticed his dark scar expanding and darkening. "Your scar," I mentioned, but he promptly released my hand and covered it with his own.

As I gingerly touched his scar, I noticed a palpable shift in his demeanor. The pain seemed to ease from his body, and his breathing began to steady. Releasing a deep sigh, he glanced at my hand resting on his scar, his expression a mix of bewilderment and curiosity. "What are you?" he asked, his voice filled with uncertainty.

As I heard footsteps nearing us, I quickly stepped down from the bed, relieved that the doctor had arrived, but my words caught in my throat as I laid eyes on the imposing figure before me. He didn't resemble a typical human, and his presence in the school was unfamiliar to me. Clutching a golden stick in his hand, he bellowed at me to leave. Ero's expression shifted from anger to shock as he looked up, and sensing his sudden change in emotion, I turned back to face the mysterious figure. My voice trembled as I addressed him, "Who are you? You can't be here."

The figure forcefully slammed me against the wall, causing trays to clatter to the ground as he repeated his command for me to leave. Despite the fear coursing through me, Ero rose to his feet, weakened but defiant. "Leave her alone," he demanded, his voice strained with pain but filled with determination. Trembling, I insisted, "I will not leave." The figure pointed his golden stick menacingly at Ero, but to my surprise, Ero grasped my hand and spoke up, "Go. He's a friend of mine." I stared at Ero in disbelief, my fear momentarily quelled by his unexpected show of loyalty. Reluctantly, I nodded and stepped back, my eyes still filled with worry, but Ero reassured me with a smile.

The sight of Ero's genuine smile left a flutter in my heart, a moment I cherished deeply as I watched him. It was rare to see him smile, especially directed at me, and for that brief moment, I felt a surge of warmth and affection. However, as he left the room with the imposing figure, his smile slowly faded, leaving a bittersweet feeling lingering in the air.
