"Once we set foot on Earth," Evangelica mused, her voice soft as she lay against my chest, "we shall encounter many beautiful maidens. We shall live among them as mortals, partaking in the joys of earthly existence—shopping, dancing, singing, feasting—and perhaps, even sealing our bond in marriage."

I chuckled at her enthusiasm, reaching out to playfully pinch her nose. "We are embarking on a divine mission, my dear," I reminded her gently, though my smile betrayed a hint of amusement. "You are far too wise beyond your years."

Her eyes sparkled with affection as she gazed up at me. "These millennia spent by your side have been the most precious of my existence," she confessed, her fingers intertwining with mine in a silent gesture of unity. "I wish time would linger a while longer, that we might savor each moment together."

Rising from her reverie, she lifted her head to meet my gaze. "Upon our arrival, let us partake in a human custom: a rendezvous, just as mortals do," she suggested, her face radiant with anticipation.

I nodded in agreement, my heart swelling with gratitude for the companionship and love we shared, and together, we looked forward to the adventures that awaited us on Earth's fertile soil.

As the thunderous noise reverberated through the halls, Evangelica's gaze met mine, her concern evident in her eyes. "Stay here," I instructed her, my wings unfurling as I prepared to investigate the disturbance. With a swift motion, I propelled myself towards the prince's chamber, my heart pounding with apprehension.

Upon reaching the scene, my worst fears were realized. Prince Ero lay sprawled on the ground, his once magnificent wings now limp and stained with blood. Adrian stood nearby, his face twisted with anguish, a blade clenched tightly in his hand.

"Adrian," I called out, my voice heavy with disbelief as I approached. He looked up, his breathing ragged, the weight of his actions evident in his trembling form. The prince signaled for me to leave, but I ignored the gesture, my focus solely on the injured ruler.

"Are you alright, Prince Ero?" I asked, gently cradling him in my arms as I assessed his injuries. "What transpired here?" I demanded, casting a wary glance around the room, which bore the unmistakable signs of a violent struggle.

I lowered Prince Ero gently to the ground, my gaze hardening as I turned towards Adrian. "What have you done, Adrian?" I demanded, striding purposefully towards him. His eyes burned with rage as he clenched the blade tightly in his hand. "Let me go to Earth now!" he shouted, his voice thick with fury.

"Did you harm the prince to achieve that?" I asked, incredulous, reaching out to disarm him. "Why would you do this?" My voice wavered with concern as I tried to reason with him.

"Why does the divine favor you? What makes you so special to them, while I am left with nothing?" Adrian's voice cracked with frustration as he advanced towards me. "Why am I not deserving of anything?" he demanded, his tone laced with bitterness.

"Why are you saying this?" I replied, my worry deepening. "You're my best friend, Adrian. If you wanted to join me on Earth, I would have spoken to the king on your behalf." But he shook his head vehemently. "I don't want your help," he spat, his gaze fixed on Prince Ero. "It's all because of him!" he exclaimed, pointing accusingly at the fallen prince.

"You ain't my best mate no more, and I'm fed up with ya, Daniel," Adrian spat, his voice dripping with jealousy and rage as he closed the distance between us. "How come you always get everything handed to ya?"

He glared at me accusingly. "Why does Evangelica only have eyes for you? What about my feelings for her?" His words hit me like a punch to the gut, and I realized for the first time that Adrian harbored feelings for her too.

"How dare you fancy my girl?" I shouted, my anger boiling over. "Are you betraying me? She's my girl, we've been in love for eons, and you've been against us from the start," I accused, my voice filled with hurt and betrayal.

He raised the blade, his eyes filled with malice. "I wish you were dead, Daniel," Adrian snarled, moving to strike, but Evangelica stepped between us, taking the blow meant for me. The blade sliced through her delicate form, and I cried out in anguish as she crumpled to the ground.

"Evan," I sobbed, my heart breaking at the sight of her wounded body. Adrian's gaze flickered with guilt, but his rage quickly consumed any remorse. "I wish you two were dead," he spat, lunging towards Evangelica once more, but I intercepted his attack, wresting the blade from his grasp.

"Leave her be, Adrian," I growled, my voice trembling with anger and sorrow.Adrian's jealousy burned like a raging inferno, consuming him from within. His eyes blazed with envy as he confronted me, his voice dripping with venomous resentment. "Why do you always get everything, Daniel?" he demanded, his words laced with bitterness.

In response, my own anger surged forth like a tempest unleashed. "You dare question me, Adrian?" I retorted, my voice thundering with fury. "You think you're entitled to everything, but you've done nothing to earn it!"

As the tension between us reached its peak, the lifeless bodies of Evangelica and Ero lay on the ground, their once warm and vibrant forms now cold and still. Their presence served as a grim reminder of the tragic consequences of Adrian's jealousy and my own unchecked rage.

I gripped the blade tightly, my heart pounding with fear and anguish as I turned to face the scene before me. Evan and Ero lay on the ground, their life force ebbing away with each passing moment. "Look what you've done!" I screamed at Adrian, my voice filled with despair and rage.

But Adrian showed no remorse, his eyes gleaming with malice as he continued his relentless assault. With a surge of dark magic, he hurled me against the wall, leaving me powerless to intervene as he turned his attention to Evan. "You never cared about my feelings," he spat, his grip tightening around her throat. "Now I don't care about you."

Helpless, I watched as he choked the life out of her, his laughter echoing through the chamber like a haunting melody. In a desperate bid to stop him, I summoned all the strength I had left and hurled the blade through the air, its deadly edge finding its mark in the prince's chest.

But even as Ero fell, his laughter continued, mocking and sinister. "No!" I cried out, tears streaming down my face as I realized the enormity of what had transpired before me. The air was heavy with the weight of loss and betrayal, and I knew that nothing would ever be the same again.

I stood tall, clutching the blade tightly in my grasp, my eyes glistening with tears of anger and sorrow. "You treacherous wretch," I hissed, my voice quivering with emotion as I advanced toward Adrian. Despite his dark magic swirling around him, I pressed forward, driven by a fierce determination fueled by betrayal. "It is you who deserves to meet your end, for you have betrayed not only me, but everything we once stood for," I declared, my words ringing out with righteous indignation.

But Adrian's twisted grin only served to stoke the flames of my fury, his arrogance infuriating me further. "What have you done, Daniel?" a voice boomed behind me, causing me to whirl around to face the king, his majestic presence casting a shadow over the chamber.
