The air crackled with tension as I advanced on her, a sinister grin twisting my lips. "You actually think you can just walk away from me?" I taunted, my possessive gaze locking onto hers. With a sudden, forceful motion, I slammed her against the wall, my grip on her cheeks unyielding.

"Are you trying to play games with me?" I growled, my voice low and menacing. "Don't forget who you're dealing with. You're messing with a demon."

Her breath caught in her throat as my words sank in, the realization of the danger she was in washing over her. She struggled against my hold, panic rising within her as she searched desperately for a way out of the terrifying predicament she found herself in.
The atmosphere grew tense as I whispered, "You are mine," my voice laced with possessiveness. I peered down at her, my eyes fixed on her trembling lip, my hands tightening around her arms. A twisted smile spread across my face as I uttered the chilling words, "Break up with me, and you'll suffer."

Isabelle's voice trembled with concern as she questioned, "What are you doing?" Her gaze locked onto my face, her eyes widening in alarm as she noticed the unsettling transformation taking place. My eyes turned a fiery red, fueled by simmering anger.

But I merely smiled in response, my tone eerily calm as I reassured her, "I told you, I'm yours." My hands released their grip on her arms, but my nails dug into her skin, leaving faint marks. I leaned in to kiss her cheek, my lips brushing against her skin as I murmured, "It's okay, it's complicated."

She couldn't see the darkness consuming me, the demon within clawing its way to the surface. Tears welled up in her eyes as she struggled to comprehend the sudden shift in my demeanor. And then, without warning, she leaped forward, her lips meeting mine in a desperate plea for forgiveness.

"I'm sorry," she whispered against my lips, her words a plea for reconciliation in the face of our tumultuous relationship. The tension melted away as she flashed a grin, and my eyes went back to normal. "You wanna call it quits? Be my guest," I shot back, a sly edge to my smile. But she came back quick, shaking her head like a champ. "Nah, I'm good," she declared, her eyes steely with determination.

In a playful move, she hopped into my arms, her legs wrapping around my waist as she nestled in close. I couldn't help but smirk at her feather-light touch. "Dang, you're as light as a feather," I teased, soaking up the easy vibe.

She laughed, her giggles like music to my ears. "I've got you all figured out now. No more drama," she declared, her tone leaving no room for argument. With a nod of agreement, she leaned in for a smooch.

I spun her around, her laughter filling the air. "Whoa, I feel like I'm gonna topple over," she exclaimed between giggles, her infectious laughter echoing around us. "Haha," I chuckled nervously, her laughter catching me off guard.

My hands rested gently on her hips as I steadied her. "You scared me there," I admitted, a hint of relief in my voice as she leaned her head against my shoulder. "I'm tired," she murmured softly, her voice muffled against my shirt.

With a reassuring pat on her back, I scooped her up in my arms and carried her to her room, her legs wrapping around my hips. As we ascended the stairs, a nagging thought tugged at the back of my mind. "Do you have something to tell me?" I inquired, my voice hesitant as I remembered the unresolved tension from earlier.

She pulled away slightly, her expression guarded. "What do you mean?" she asked, her eyes avoiding mine. We fell into a heavy silence as we continued our ascent, the weight of her unspoken words hanging between us like a thick fog.

I shook my head, attempting to brush off the uneasy feeling. "Nah, it's nothing," I replied with a forced nonchalance, hoping to ease the tension. A small smile tugged at her lips as she nestled her face against my neck once more, but I couldn't shake the feeling that she was hiding something significant from me.

I carefully lowered her onto the bed, but she kept her legs wrapped around me, a mischievous smirk playing on her lips. "What's so funny?" I asked, a chuckle escaping my lips as I met her gaze.

She remained silent, her smirk widening as she refused to release her hold. "Come on, let go," I insisted, gently trying to pry her legs apart.

"You smell really good," she finally admitted with a grin, her eyes sparkling with mischief. I couldn't help but blush at the unexpected compliment as I slowly untangled her legs. "Thank you," I replied, feeling a warmth spread through me at her words.

As she settled onto the bed, she crossed her arms and shot me a playful wink. "Want to join me?" she teased, her voice laced with invitation. I glanced back at her, but before I could respond, my phone buzzed with a notification. Adrian's text message appeared on the screen, and irritation flickered through me.

Turning back to her, I sighed. "I guess your parents will be late," she remarked without missing a beat, her expression turning thoughtful as she observed me.

As I was about to shoot off a reply to Adrian's text, another message popped up, and my heart sank as I read his words: "I heard everything from Aria. You need to break up with her now before things get worse. We need to talk right now as she ran into the guardian angel."

Man, frustration boiled up inside me like a pot about to overflow. Adrian was trying to mess with my head, and I couldn't let him get under my skin. Running a hand through my hair, I tried to keep it together.

Isabelle's concerned voice cut through the tension as she slowly rose from the bed. I plastered on a smile, not wanting to stress her out even more. "All good," I muttered, my tone strained as I avoided her gaze.

"I gotta jet before your folks roll in," I murmured, barely audible as I reached out to brush a stray strand of hair behind her ear. "Catch you later."

But before I could pull away, she grabbed my hand and pulled me into a tight hug. "Sorry. Love you," she whispered, her words hitting me like a ton of bricks. Her embrace was like a warm blanket on a chilly night, and for a moment, I let myself soak it in.

Reluctantly pulling back, I planted a kiss on her forehead. "I'll text you," I promised, my mind a whirlwind of conflicting emotions as I made my exit.
