I am absolutely in love with Carthya. Without a doubt, this fantasy kingdom has become my home. Jaron, Imogen, Mott... I love everything to do with this plotline and this setting. This is one of the best fantasy worlds I have ever been thrust into; I would even say it could challenge Tolkein's middle earth.

After this second installment, I can say my heart beats proudly for Cathya. Assassins, old enemies, new friends, pirates, brushes with death. What more could you possibly want from a fantasy world? Hail King Jaron, the Ascendant King of Carthya.

I would rate this novel 5/5 stars. After also taking the time to read the third installment, I can definitely say that this series shares a flawlessly beautiful tale.
