"So Mark on Wednesday, Sam on Thursday, then drinks with your new coworker on Sunday?" Nick confirmed spinning around in his chair to look at Lacy, who was sprawled out on the couch, feet resting in Harley's lap.

The three were all in the studio. Nick and Harley were attempting to mix a few songs before their time slot ended, with Lacy tagging along, for, as she would say, "emotional support."

"Yeah, you know, just trying to get out there again. Speaking of." Lacy sat up to dramatically whip her head around, looking at the singer.

Harley shut her laptop. "What are you talking about?" Looking back and forth between her two best friends curiously.

Nick laughed, shaking his head. "Come on, Ly, you're really trying to tell us you have zero interest in the girl you brought to our surf spot."

"Yes!"

"Yeah, okay," Lacy said, unconvinced. "We literally watched Wednesday together; let's not kid ourselves."

Just then, Harley's phone went off on the table next to Nick, and the singer asked him to read it. "It's from Brie; her and Luca are going surfing and asked if we wanted to join."

"Fuck yeah, the waves are supposed to be crazy big," Lacy excitedly said, jumping up from the sofa.

Nick threw his head back with a groan. "Come on, Lace, it's been raining all day; the waters going to be freezing."

Nick had met Harley and Lacy in freshman year of high school. The two quickly took a liking to the boy, taking it upon themselves to bring him into their duo and teach the boy everything they knew about surfing. And although he had grown to love it, he was never as eager as the rest.

"Come on, please." Lacy asked, giving Nick her best puppy-dog eyes. Nick sighed, knowing damn well he was going to give in.

"Fine, I'll go, but I'm not stepping foot in that fucking water."

"Right, what about you, Ly Ly?" Lacy asked, directing her attention to her other best friend.

"Nah, I went this morning. Im beat; I'm probably just gonna try to finish this song and go home, but y'all have fun." The Banks girl elaborated, standing up to kick Nick out of the chair and taking his place in front of the computer.

Lacy and Nick had left to meet Brie and Luca about an hour ago. The singer had just wrapped up in the studio, shoving everything in her bag, and was walking out the door, heading toward the parking garage. She hopped into her car, locking the doors, then pulling her phone out of her pocket. She answered a few messages. One from her manager, one that Brie had sent her of Luca and Nick wiping out on a massive wave, and one from a certain brunette actress.

Jenna Ortega: Are you free like right now?

Before Harley could answer, another text from Jenna came through.

Jenna Ortega: I'm going out of town for work tomorrow; could we make a quick public appearance then hang out at mine?

Harley Banks: Yeah, that sounds good. Wanna get food first? Your pick.

Jenna Ortega: Cool, meet me here (location) in 30.

Harley liked the message, plugging the directions into her car and starting her drive. After about a thirty-minute drive, Harley pulled up at the cafe. Spotting Jenna's car, the singer parallel parked in the spot behind her. Hopping out her car and walking up to the actress's window, taping on it.

The actress looked up from her phone, smiling at the girl and opening the door. "Hey." Jenna said wrapping her arms around the girl's neck and hugging her. Harley froze up for a moment, before hugging her back. Jenna took her hand, leading them across the street into the cafe.
