"Hurry up Lace, I told Olivia we would be there early to help set up." Harley said impatiently lying on Lacey's bed. While the girl in question was rummaging through her closet looking for something to wear.
"Chill, it's fine. I'm literally her favorite, that's why she invited me and not Nick."
Harley rolled her eyes at that, "she invited both of you, he's just out of town for work."
She waved that off dismissively, "why isn't Brie and Luca coming again?"
"Luca is on his senior retreat and Bries at work." She looked over to see Lacey adding final touches to her makeup. "Guess being unemployed is really working out for you right now, huh?"
The girl rolled her eyes, "oh shut up, I'm literally in school." Harley just hummed at that.
Ten minutes later they were finally in the car driving to Olivia's. "So, you and Jenna have been talking a lot." Lacey said looking over from the drivers seat at her best friend. "You still haven't really told me what's up with that."
The singer smiled rolling her eyes looking out the window in an attempt to hide her face. "Ohhh." The other girl said in a sing song voice, "you like her."
"I don't know kinda, but i don't know exactly where we stand, so honestly I'm okay with keeping her as a friend."
"No, I'm happy for you Ly Ly, i mean this is the first time you've liked someone since Layla. And I love you, but to be honest it's been over a year it was getting a little sad."
Harley gave her a look, "just saying!"
They pulled up to Olivia's, hopping out of the car and giving the door of her home a quick knock, before entering and announcing their arrival.
The two walked into the kitchen where Olivia and Conan were setting out drinks.
"Happy birthday Livy." The two friends exclaimed coming up behind her and hugging the girl.
"Thank you two so much, for coming early."
"Of course, and this is for you." Harley handed her gift, a small wrapped box that held a ring that had the names of the songs they had written together engraved on it.
The threes attention was caught, when they heard Conan struggling with one of the many twelve packs of drinks he was carrying in his arms.
"I got you Conan!" Lacey exclaimed setting the birthday card she had written on the table, going over to help the guy.
"Well, they got that. I need your height, come on."
Olivia led the young singer to the living room, where she instructed the girl to start hanging a garland. While she set out a bunch of Polaroid cameras she had bought for the party.
It was silent for a few moments while Harley was trying to focus on hanging the garland. When she heard Olivia laugh to herself.
"What?" She asked the girl with a strange look.
"Nothing, I was just thinking about when it was your birthday and you ate a candle."
She laughed, "oh my god, let it go." The singer finally got it hung and began to walk over to Olivia, "it wasn't on purpose."
"I sure fucking hope not."
She rolled her eyes grabbing one of the cameras off the table. Flipping the camera around and holding it out as far as possible, taking a picture of the two of them.
