Preface

Princess Fisher: 12,020ACY

First, Atlantis or 'Alta' is a very large 'island', about 400 miles long and 300 miles across. The empire was protected by its steep, rocky coast in the north and in the south, the only ports to sea.

Nature is extremely beautiful and respected upon the island.

The mountains in the north are volcanic in origin, many covered in ice and snow. To the south is a great green plain and many valleys, fertile fields, lakes, rivers, streams and vast tropical swamps with massive ferns and other aquatic plants.

Near the coast, deep caves serve as the city's source of hot water as hot springs gush from the ground under high pressure, forming warm rivers that the locals are required to bathe weekly in.

The cities of Atlantis are remarkable! With the use of crystalline architecture for their main cities with buildings and temples made of white stone, their suburbs or rural areas seem to mimic the modern rural homes found in the Mediterranean.

Whereas the central palaces look like something pulled right out of a fantasy movie, organic buildings designed to mimic life under the sea; as if they had simply risen out of the ocean.

Of the seven palaces, none of them however compare to the grandeur and beauty of the central palace at the heart of Atlantis with its towering waterfalls, silvery walls in the morning sun and golden walls in the evening glow.

Its concentric rings of water and earth with organic native plants covering the palaces' many roofs and courtyards.

At the top of the palace was a central spire that they used to gaze onto the stars with a focal point from the Soul Crystal, below.

During the summer, the fragrance of hydrangeas wafer through the warm Atlantic breeze mixed with the culinary delights of the towns.

The absence of pollution and duine filth is apparent as the Atlanteans have a strict philosophy about being good stewards of Tara (Earth). Their oneness is with nature, which is on display with floral arrangements against the houses and wild vines cascading like leaping green waterfalls over the hard edges of the city.

The use of sea shells as art was plastered to the walls, some paint elaborates underwater ecosystems, whereas others seem to be going for an abstract concept.

Ten thousand years have amassed a great wealth that has exceeded to the point of value.

Gold, once sought all over the world, was freely put on display as if it were iron! Golden red copper seems to be paved into the streets with silver being used as a decoration.

The currency value in Atlantis is paid in gold, silver and copper ingots, with gems as marks as high value like the lemarian quartz. With so much accumulated wealth from mastery of the seas, greed has at one-point lead to enslavement off island in the neighboring mainland civilizations.

A new value arose in the cost of duine labor.

This led to the first Great Deluge that weakened Atlantis and set them in a new era that would ban slavery and turn away from spirituality towards science. With rediscovering crystal energy from their ancestors, Atlantis exploded in renovation and cultural rebirth as society benefited from being born upon the crystalline grid.

The use of crystal energy was Atlantis's greatest achievement...and in the end...it was their greatest downfall.

As ideology shifted in Atlantis, strife and civil war broke out and would produce some of the most terrifying weapons of mass destruction that the Atlantean culture has ever seen! Many of these legendary weapons were used on the lesser evolved species to turn entire cities to salt and mutate the duine into hideous creatures that would plague the world for many generations to come.
