Many decades have now passed since Alta has sunk to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean.

The memory of Alta, amongst the people, thrived as it was spoken by Princess Saline Fisher that Alta should be now known to the world as 'Atlantis'. Though, many kings of old still cling onto the hope that honoring the memory of 'Alta' might free them from this watery prison -- bared from the rest of the world like the Titans of the antediluvian world.

Each kingdom came with its own level of intelligence, mysticism, technology, and spiritual energy.

Some of the 'Altarian's' had remained just as they were in the past...unchanged...like the people who lived in the Heart of Alta: Poseidia. In fact, only those who were without any physical 'sea-changes' could still be called 'Altarian'!

Yes, they could breathe water and air for about 12 hours; but were spared the mutations that would befall the rest of their kin.

The Ampherians, being strictly loyal to only Alta, had sought this opportunity to rebuild the empire. However, they too would later evolve with flippers for feet and covered in a thin layer of green scaly skin; no longer able to be called a true Altarian.

The Aycayians had evolved beyond all imagination! They had all turned into seductively beautiful females and grew low scaly fish's tails to replace their useless legs. However, the Fall of Atlantis was far too much for the Aycayians as they had abandoned their shattered kingdom for the warmer waters to the southwest.

The most evolved people would be the Oceanids and Cascadian's as their whole body had mutated into mostly fish with a humanoid head, torso, and arms...but everything else was just fish...straight down to reproduction and their core organs. They, over the years, would be the same folk that would bring forth the myths of Merrows in Ireland and the Hafmeyjan in Iceland.

Where some had evolved spiritually like the Oceanids, Potamianos, and Cascadian's; some had devolved into horrific beasts and monsters. Including the crab-like Atlanticu who retain some of their stubbornness and intense hatred for the royalty of Poseidia. Working in the deepest mines and quarries along the ridge.

The Hesperides, although cursed to become beasts long before the fall, had altogether left the confederation for the icy cold waters of the north, following the Great Selkie. There they took the form of seals while in the ocean, and duine upon land. But like all Atlantean's, they too could not escape the lure of the ocean, needing to return every seven years or die. These people would later be called 'Selkies' by the duine who intermarried into the bloodline, becoming cursed too.

For the surviving five races, they all lived in harmony as Atlantis saw a surge in rebuilding as the technology came alive and grew the cities according to their needs. It took a few renditions as the kingdoms of Atlantis rose from the depths of the ocean, with the Amphereians only being about 1000 feet below, compared to the Oceanids who are still well over 11,000 feet below the waves!

With the High King of Alta long dead, High Queen Arimera became the appointed High Queen of both Alta and Atlantis as she retook the throne of the devastated capital city of Poseidia.

With no need for roads or ground-level doors, the buildings changed as the people of the empire had begun reshaping their kingdoms around the aquatic life that they now called home.

Each kingdom had flourished in this underwater world! Food was plentiful; however, the main source of nutrition was kelp, sea plants, and fish. The hunting of aquatic mammals was strictly forbidden...and besides...they did not taste all that good.

The Oceanid people had divided their population into five castes: Military, Kelp Farmers, Scientists, Philosophers, and Healers. They all worked in unison as the chaos of the surface world continued to unfold as the surface dwellers fought over land, resources, and religious ideology.
