Keefe couldn't stop looking around. This was her wife's mind, so it was odd. Inside were.... thoughts. Kind of like bubbles. (why does this make me think of the Wish movie lol... photo idea above) The thoughts were fun, like her wedding day and chapter 42 and sad, from her kidnapping to her hard past. But she seemed..... stable? It's not how she described Alden's mind. "You okay, dad?" Amy asked, trying to look at him, but also interested in the scenery. "Now what?" Keefe asked, trying to look around for a good idea or some sort of info. "We talk to her, somehow....." Amy said.
And they did. For what felt like hours.... until finally, a figure came up. A large cat... "Hi?" Amy said, confused. It looked a lot like Marty, Sophie's old cat. Except, he was on 2 legs. "HELLO!" the cat loudly said, "ARE YOU KEEFE AND AMY?" "yes?" Keefe replied, "I am the Great Lord Hunkyhair!" quickly looking at Amy, and added "And that's Amy the Amazing!" "OH SOPHIE IS WAITING FOR YOU!" he "gently" grabbed their shoulders and led them through a path. Inside were memories but in photo frames. The cat noticed, and answered the question they didn't even dare to ask, "Sophie keeps her memories of importance in these frames, good or bad...." he eyed the darker frames, with memories of previous attacks and findings.
As soon as they reached the small bungalow, it was no surprise Sophie was there. She was sitting on the porch swing reading. As soon as she noticed, she threw her book down and ran to them. " "You're here!!!" She said, running to them, "It took you long enough.." she mumbled, "How do we get you out?" Keefe and Amy asked at the same time, Sophie looked down, and responded, "I don't know, I like it here, it's so peaceful, and there's no worries from everything I've caused..." she began to drift off. "WELL FOSTER YOU'RE COMING WITH US WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT!" Keefe exclaimed, grabbing her by the wrist, and then looking at her, "I need you, we need you." "The truth is, I DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET OUT!" Sophie said, "When Alden's mind broke, all I had to do was call for him, and say something important to him, to make him come back." "THAT'S IT!" Amy shouted, "What do you want? Really, REALLY, want?"
After a moment of silence, Sophie finally thought of what she wanted. "I want to be the person people need me to be....." she said, looking at Keefe, who then got on his knees and looked up at Sophie, "You are more than enough, and the best person you can be. Don't let guilt stop you!" "I can try" she whispered, and began to fade. "What is happening??" Amy asked, as she was fading as well as Keefe, "I think we're leaving.." he said, and then while looking at Sophie, he said, "See you on the other side." "You bet!" Sophie replied, with a grin on her face, before everything vanished.
