The carriage was quiet during their journey to the wolf lands. They had kicked off all the travel arrangements immediately and as everyone wanted to progress this as quickly as possible and fit it in before the cat clans celebration. It was decided to head out the very next day. Ronnie's trepidation had been palpable when Brock had explained how quickly they would be moving.
Brock would shift every now and then, agitated without any real source. He couldn't help but think back to the night before, very conscious that his father and Advisor were in the same cabin on the train-like vehicle they were in. He really wished he'd had the foresight to get the three of them their own carriage so he could talk openly with his mates and ask some questions of Ronnie now that he'd had time to digest what she had told them. And he couldn't stop thinking about their love making from the night before - his mixture of feelings giving him whiplash.
As they sat in a tense silence on their way to meet Kainon, Brock didn't care about any of her history with the demon now. He also had no plans to tell his father. They would go ahead and question Kainon as planned. He had a niggling feeling deep down. Something his dragon was trying to surface but it made him nervous so he was pushing it down. They had all the time in the world to work everything out.

Ronnie purposefully focused on her breathing. She didn't want to give away how nervous she felt. She hadn't seen Kainon in months. Had done everything she could to not think about him. Heck she had spent three months in the hospital getting past all that. She understood now that Bobby had known more than she let on. She had said Kainon had agreed to leave her alone after her suicide attempt. That was obviously a lie - what else did the shifter know?
She worried how she'd react when she saw him. She had loved a part of him, for a little while. She enjoyed a lot of things, up there is knowing that she is giving her partner what they want - but with Kainon he wanted complete submission from her and she just couldn't do it and she didn't enjoy it. She hoped her body didn't respond to him...
She sat in between Brock and Brand in the carriage with the King and Advisor across from them. There was a table that separated them. Their small talk had ceased less than half an hour into the journey.
Ronnie could feel emotions bouncing around - no longer being dampened as they left the Dragon Palace grounds. The King slept most of the way and Advisor was reading a book, interest in the content radiating off him. Brock was switching from concern and frustrated curiousness to arousal. The latter would trigger her, which would then trigger Brand and before she knew it they had a lusty pinball rattling around. She felt very awkward shifting in her seat as subtly as possible. Brand and Brock both grabbed a knee, her movement too much for them.
"How much longer?" She asked suddenly.
Advisor looked up from his book and consulted his wristwatch. "Another hour."
The three of them sat in silence for the remainder of the journey.

Kainon was nonplussed as he was led from his holding cell to the interrogation room. He hadn't been allowed out of his cell for over a month. Prior to that the only interruption in his purgatory state was when the Alpha King would come and try to question him about other demons - a few waste of spaces had tried to take up after him, without success. While he was curious as to why he was being brought forward now, for what he assumed was a formal questioning considering the level of security they were using, he felt no threat.
His interest peaked as he registered that the Alpha King had brought a dragon with him for this little tetatet. He knew the treaty that existed between the different species, so while not surprised he was intrigued.
