Brock couldn't stand to not be touching Ronnie. And he wasn't going to let her go anywhere without him anytime soon. Brand stayed close, similarly loathed to be out of sight of his mates. They secured the castle, a full sweep revealing all supporters- who were now in the cells Brand and Jon had been guests of.

It would take a few hours to travel back to their home in the dragon kingdom, so they decided to clean up there before making the trek home.

Brand cleaned Ronnie, her helping him in turn while Brock watched and stood guard. He let himself enjoy the tenderness of his two mates, how they gently took care of each other. He could tell that their time here had been harrowing and had created a deep bond. His chest swelled with his love for the two of them. Ronnie looked over her shoulder at him.

Her mane was barely flattened by the steady stream of the shower. Her large blue eyes looked back at him, a small smile pulled her lips.

"Look at my knight in shining armour," she gushed, turning to face him. Brand took the opportunity to check her hair and back, his hands alighting down her sides and eliciting a little giggle as his hands inadvertently tickled her.

"And I got to be the damsel in distress," Brand chuckled, wrapping his arms around her waist. "Saved by my guardian angel."

Ronnie laughed heartily at that. Angel?

"Well..." Brand husked, nibbling on her neck.

"Phew-" Ronnie puffed. "We might want to switch this to fully cold water."

Brock chuckled. He opened a towel for her, relishing in the way she happily stepped up to him, allowing him to wrap her up.

"How do we get home?" She asked, letting him dry her. She could feel he needed to be doing things for her. She could let him do simple things like this.

"We will stop by the ready area we were operating from. I will then fly us. I don't trust going by land until we know everything Kainon had set in motion.

Brand dried himself, behind Ronnie. "We have no way of knowing the extent of the repercussions of what Kainon has done- we don't know what he has done, just something has been initiated, and I don't know that his death will have stopped it."

Ronnie glanced back at him, "What will happen to the people here?"

Her head swiveled back to Brock after Brands did nothing to comfort her.

"I don't know," Brock spoke softly.

Ronnie couldn't just turn her back on her Kingdom, so she stayed to rule. A necessity, if only to stop a massive power grab with the power vacuum Kainon created with his plans. Indeed, the wheels were already in motion, the current warlords that were vying for power were all struck down as part of Kainon's plan, bar one, who happily relinquished to her to claim it, especially with her dragon backing.

The three moved to the Netherrealm, the steps to set up governments at all levels, from principalities to the whole nations kicked off immediately. Treaties were quickly made with all realms.

Even the Fae realm, who were interested to know about the part Fae Queen of the Never Beasts, started diplomatic discussions. Brock and Brands' expertise was invaluable- they knew how to run a civilisation- Brock training his whole life and Brand's heavy involvement in the last few years provided the stepping stones for this next step up- plus he's awesome and just picked things up quickly. Ronnie felt like she learnt a massive amount in a short time from her mates.

Crell pledged loyalty to his Queen without hesitation and worked directly for Ronnie. He did have a magical oath on him, so he could not directly go against Kainon. His assistance was enough to have him pardoned. All other co-conspirators were interrogated with her sensing them. Those that swore an airtight magical oath were allowed to remain. Those that did not were executed. Brock explained that it was necessary to assert her dominance. He explained there needed to be no thought of challenging her. She trusted his advice but it felt weird growing up in the real world where the biggest decision was what takeaway to get for dinner and now she ordered whether someone lived or died.
