Chapter 6

"Gee, do you know how to drive stick?" He shook his head. "Do you want to learn?" I questioned walking to the driver's seat and unlocking the car. "Absolutely!" I grabbed his arm pulling him to the driver's seat. "If we're letting Gee drive then I'm riding with Ray. I'll see you guys later if you don't crash. "Okay!" we both shouted back as I let Gerard slip into the driver's seat. "Alright, the pedal on the far left is the clutch, the middle one is the break, and the far right is the gas." I pulled off the two roof panels and shuffled around and got into the passenger seat. "This is the handbrake, and this is the shifter. For today, I will control the shifter so you don't break my car but you are gonna need to listen real well." Gerard nodded. "Do you know how to start it?" A short silence. "No yeah, I do actually. You're gonna need to tell me when to clutch it." I handed him the key for him to put in the ignition. He pulled down the parking brake and put one foot on the clutch and one foot near the gas turning the key fob. "Perfect. Now put your hand under mine and let me control you." He did as such and I wrapped my hand around his over the shifter. "Alright hit the clutch." He did as such and I pulled the shifter into reverse. "You know what to do next." He reversed the car out of the spot. "Good, now clutch again." He hit the clutch and I shifted it into first gear. "Good god this is a lot scarier than I expected. I don't want to crash your car." he looked at me before pressing the gas. "You're doing great keep going, Gee." I pulled our hands up and kissed his knuckles as he started driving out of the parking lot. "You're doing good." I hummed shifting us up a gear. "Don't forget we're stopping at my house first." He nodded as he added more gas "Clutch." He did as I said and we were then in third gear. "Okay, this isn't so bad. I think I got this." I let go of his hand "No no no wait don't let go I'm going to lose all that confidence!" He shouted in a panic. "Alright alright sorry sorry." I put my hand back and let him do the driving. We drove the speed limit up until we got into my neighbourhood since my house was far back. "Alright alright don't go crazy Gee" I suggested as he clutched and upshifted. Good god 60 in a 25? He's gonna get us pulled over. "Gee please slow down." I gripped his hand as he softly stepped on the break gearing down. "We got here in one piece didn't we?" He looked over at me as he parked the car in front of my house. "Yeah, you did. I'll be right back." I pulled the keys out of the ignition and pulled down the parking break and went up to the house. "Tyler are you home?" I heard shuffling about. "Uhh- One second!" more rustling. I ignored it and walked into my bedroom. Now where did I put that pesky camera? I rummaged around in my room as I heard footsteps behind me. "Check under your bed." Gerard. I'm not surprised. "Hey (y/n)! Oh- Gerard. Are you leaving?" I looked over to see Gerard and now Tyler and Jenna standing in my doorway. "Yeah sorry Ty, we're heading out here in like five I found my camera I just can't find my tripod." I looked to Tyler as Jenna's face flushed red. "Yeah uhh- I have it give me two seconds." Tyler and Jenna ran off. "What was that about?" Gerard came in and sat on my bed. "They were probably having sex dude were college kids that's what we do. Well. No, not we. I don't." Gerard looked at me. "So what is little miss priss a virgin?" I blushed and nodded as I grabbed a T-shirt and black jeans and stuffed it into my bag. "What a surprise, Sugar." Tyler walked in and handed Gerard the tripod and whispered something I could barely catch. "Don't have too much fun with her." I didn't catch the rest of that. "Got it, Shall we be off m'lady?" He bowed reaching for me to pull me out of the room. "Yes, we shall!" He grabbed my arm and we travelled like that til we got to the car. "You can drive if you want. I don't mind being a passenger princess." I joke looking at Gerard. "I couldn't It's your car. He walked up to me putting both of his hands softly on my arms. "Only if you let me hold your hand this time." He whispered sending shivers. "I- uhh- Yeah." I lowered my voice to a whisper. "Please.." I handed him my keys again. "What was that Sugar, Im gonna need you to speak up." I shook my head and went to sit in the passenger seat. "I wasn't done talking Sugar." Gerard stated as he climbed into the driver's seat. "Well, I was done listening." I huffed as he reached for my hand. "You still need to tell me when to shift." I sat both of our hands on the shifter as he started the car. "Hit the clutch, Gee." He clutched and upshifted. "You're doing surprisingly well for this being your first time." He did a U-turn and pulled us out of the neighbourhood. "Now." He clutched driving us to his house.

"Holy shit is that Gerard Arthur Way I see in the driver's seat of (y/n)'s car? What a sight to see." I heard Frank from the doorway as Gerard shut off the car. "It's so cool isn't it!?" he shouted as I pulled down the parking brake. I giggled as Gerard came over and opened the car door. "Ooooooooo Gerard!" Gee shot a look at Frank. "Frank you know damn well ita not like that." he reached for my hand and pulled me out of the seat. "That was really sweet though," I whispered to him. He rolled his eyes. Is he blushing? No. I'm losing my mind. He would never. "Hurry up guys! I actually want to get this recorded!" Ray yelled making us all follow him to the basement.
