Two Weeks Later
"Kauner, it's time for night night time." I spoke looking down at her. She looked up at me with her big beautiful orbs. Dijon was busy downstairs in house studio working on some beats and Chanel was somewhere I could careless. "Don't give me that look." I told Kauner. Her bottom lip poked out and began to quiver. I quickly reached over grabbing her fresh bottle off of the nightstand beside my bed placing it to her lips, she gladly accepted it. "No crying on Auntie Nadia's watch." I mumbled as I softly rocked her. Her eyes began to close but would pop back open after they fully shut. "Your granny would call you nosey." I chuckled lightly tapping her nose causing her eyes to shut and never open back up. I sat in the bed for awhile rocking her to assure that she was sleeping. I stood up from the bed, walking out of the room. I stepped into her light pink and creme nursery loving the vibe it was sending off. I placed her in her crib making sure she was okay before I grabbed the baby monitor walking out of the room.
After putting Kauner to sleep I climbed into the bed myself trying to go to sleep. I looked down at my phone pressing decline for the sixth time in the past hour. Elijah was still reaching out trying to get a hold of me. He called right back. I looked at his contact picture that stretched across my phone's screen. It was a picture of us, we looked happy. He had me fooled. Tears began to welled up in my eyes, four years gone. He was my first everything. It's crazy how you can give your all to someone and get nothing in return. There was a light knock on the door.
"Come in!" I yelled trying to swallow the lump that had developed in my throat. The door knob began to twist. I quickly wiped my face turning on my side so that my back towards the door, whoever was coming in wouldn't be able to see my red, glossy eyes.
"You straight? You been in here all day?" I looked over my shoulder to see YG walking into the room closing the door behind him.
"Yeah, I'm just thinking." I mumbled burying my face into one of the many pillows that's was at the head of my bed. Over the past couple of weeks YG's been my shoulder to cry on, he hasn't been in town for the past couple of days but I was glad he was back. He understood what I was going through and he helped me coop with my mother's death. I felt like I could tell him things and he wouldn't run and tell Dijon even though they were best friends.
"You lyin, stop lyin!" I felt the bed dip in I turned over on my back he was sitting on the end of the bed staring at me intently studying my face. "What you was cryin for? We already discussed this." He referred to the talk we had a couple days ago about crying.
"We haven't discussed this situation." I mumbled sitting up in the bed pulling my knees to my chest.
"What situation?"
"Boys, cheating."
"You wanna talk about it?"
"Not really but you said it's better to get things off my chest so I guess we can talk about it." I shrugged my shoulders.
"I'm listenin'."
"First are you in a relationship?" He shook his head no. "Have you ever been in one?" He nodded his head yes. "Have you ever been cheated on?"
"Been cheated on and cheated on somebody." He answered honestly.
"Why did you cheat? Why do men cheat?"
"I can't answer for the nigga you talkin bout but I cheated to get back at her on some petty. Eye for a eye type of shit."
"Who did she cheat with? If you don't mind me asking."
"One of my day uno niggas."
"That's crazy." I said in disbelief. Niggas and females honestly weren't shit. "You can give a motherfucker your all only to get nothing in return."
He nodded his head agreeing with me. "Yo nigga cheated on you?"
