Nadia Thompson
I grabbed my vibrating phone off of the nightstand. "Hello?" I groaned into the phone half asleep.
"Best friend..." I heard Yaya mumble on the other line followed by a grunt.
"Yaya, I think we did enough practice runs." I yawned into the phone. Every night for the past week now Yaya has been calling me at random times in the middle of the night so we could practice what to do when the baby comes.
"Um best friend my water just broke." Yaya's unsteady voice spoke through the phone. I could hear her doing her breathing exercises they taught us at the parenting classes we attended a few times.
"Okay, okay, okay!" I whispered to myself I was beginning to panic as if I was the one going into labor. It was really happening my god baby was on its way. "Are you on your way to the hospital?" I questioned.
"No, I'm stuck on the couch I'm scared of pain, my pain tolerance in low." She explained. "That's why I don't have any tattoos or piercing. And why I cry when I get shots. I hate getting needles poked into me. The first sight of blood I'm passing out. It's going to be a lot of blood best friend. My blood. Why did I get pregnant? This will be my first and last baby." She ranted on. When she wanted to take her mind off of something she ranted, she could go on and on whether you were engaging in the conversation with her or not.
"Iyana go to the hospital now! I'm on my way there with Keenon." I told her shaking a sleeping YG.
"It's going to hurt! I don't want to be pregnant anymore but I don't want the baby to come out my vajayjay!" She cried. "You see the ultra sound pictures, she has a Derek head. What if she rips me? From my V to my A? Huh?" I cringe at the thought of being ripped down below. She? I thought. Her and Derek decided to keep the gender a secret until the birth. "Where is Derek?" I questioned.
"Gathering the baby stuff." She groaned into the phone.
"Okay, I'm about to get ready I'll see you at the hospi—" The line went silent before I heard the dial tone. "Okay, rudeness!" I mumbled putting my phone on the nightstand before rolling over on top on YG.
"Nadia!" YG mumbled.
"Get up! Yaya's in labor." I smiled pulling at his chin hairs that he desperately needed to cut. He rolled over so that I was now on the bottom.
"This better not be another practice run." He mumbled into my neck.
"It's not!" I laughed.

"Two overly grown childish man in a hospital." I mumbled throwing a little shade at YG and Derek. These to were a handful together. Yaya was asleep, she kept complaining about the food and the nurses. She was being a big baby. So I made her take a nap.
"Baby!" I whined sitting in YG's lap. "Baby!" I groaned. All his attention was on his phone and I was getting jealous.
"My bad." He spoke locking his phone giving me his attention. I rolled my eyes and began watching TV. "I was replyin to some fans." He added.
"Okay." I mumbled honestly salty ever since his listening party it seems as if his fan base has gotten bigger which is great but it meant he had more fans to please which was taking away from me and him time.
