Chapter 5: Politicians ft. Kokushibo & Kaigaku

Monday, 2:30 pm. Highschool department, third year's hallway.

[Reader] and Shinobu were walking through the halls, making small talks on their way.

"God damn it... 30 minutes left before I could finally make out with my bed..." [Reader] complained.

Shinobu forced a smiled as she continued to talk to them. "Alright, I get it... You hate school... You can stop whining now..."

"No, because I never understand why Shinazugawa Sensei has to ruin the fun in math. It's like he hates us or something-"

[Reader]'s voice slowly started to fade as Shinobu covered her ears in order to block out [Reader]'s complains. Suddenly, a small yelp caught her attention and she quickly turned around only to see [Reader] face planted on the floor.

"Pff- why did you fall, [Reader]? Do you wanna make out with the floor instead? How could you cheat on your bed like that?" Shinobu spoke playfully before reaching out her hand to help.

"Haha... Very funny, Kocho..." [Reader]'s sarcasm caused Shinobu to chuckle under her breath as they slowly got up on their feet.

Shinobu suddenly noticed a tile being lifted up slightly of the ground. She took a peek on what's underneath the tile and found a notebook. "Hm? What is that?" She picked up the book and presented it to [Reader].

"Hey, there's a writing there." [Reader] pointed out.

"Kaigaku's..." Shinobu read the letters. The moment Kaigaku's name being pronounced by Shinobu, [Reader] had a grimaced look on their face.

"Ugh... Not that guy..." [Reader] grumbled.

"Is there something wrong, dear [Reader]?" Shinobu tilted her head to the side.

"Nah, I just hate Kaigaku. Don't like him. Never fond of that dude. I really dislike him. I have this hatred towards him" [Reader] said.

"Okay, I get it when you said you hate him. No need to elaborate further."

"I wonder what's inside the book..." [Reader] tried to take a quick peek inside the book before Shinobu stopped them.

"Can you at least respect his privacy?" Shinobu sighed, rubbing her fingers against her temples.

"Oh please, it's just Kaigaku. It's not it has anything valuable written in the book." [Reader] held the book by its cover, leaving it dangling in their hands.

Due to the book being held idly by them, some papers that were slipped into the book fell off from the book. [Reader] bent down to grab it, making sure it's not damaged in any way.

From afar, Kaigaku was walking through the same hallway and noticed [Reader] holding his belonging idly. "Hey! What do you think you're doing!?" Kaigaku quickly went towards the two students and immediately snatched the book from [Reader]'s hand. "Don't just take people's stuff, you thief."

"What? I didn't even take it. I found it, kAigAKu." [Reader] stuck their tongue out.

"Why did you pronounce his name like that?" Shinobu asked.

"I was trying to find a way to insult his name but I have none so I just said his name in a mocking way." [Reader] simply said with a shrug.

"Tch... Who do you think you are, taking people's stuff like that, huh?" Kaigaku mocked back.

"Who you do you think you are? Hiding away your stuff in such place?" [Reader] retorted.

Kaigaku was trying to form a sentence to defend himself but couldn't, so he just turned around with a grunt and walked away with his book in his hands. "Mind your own business." He grumbled.
