LISA POV

"Where are we going now?" I inquired, gazing at him. He replied, "First to my office. I need to handle some meetings, then the whole day is yours. Tell me where you want to go."

Seductively, I suggested, "Somewhere where no one can disturb us." He chuckled, placing his hand on my lips, cautioning, "Don't play with this beast; it will devour you." His words lingered.

I countered, "Maybe in my life, there is no prince charming, but I guess I don't need a prince charming. I need a beast to handle me." We shared a smile, a silent understanding passing between us.

Today, I accompanied Taehyung to his office, dressed in a beautiful blue designer dress that Taehyung bought for me. Taehyung himself wore a dark blue suit, tailored by a top designer, exuding his usual dashingly handsome aura.

His almost otherworldly beauty had the power to bring life back to the dead. As a wave of sadness enveloped me regarding my stepmother's constant disdain,

He sensed my unease and gently inquired, "What happened, Lisa?" I offered a silent nod, attempting to brush it off, but he pulled me closer, his tone turning dangerously protective. "Tell me, Doll," he urged.

I met his intense gaze and finally voiced my inner turmoil. "Why does Mother always hate me? I've tried to win her heart, even though she's my stepmother."

He chuckled with a touch of pain in his voice, revealing a hidden depth to his understanding. "She was always like that, Lisa. She was only after a luxurious life. She left my father because he was poor, and she married your father. I still remember my dark past," he confessed.

His revelation casts a shadow of empathy and understanding over the car's intimate space. I absorbed the weight of his words, realizing the intricate layers of his past. As I looked into his eyes, I sensed a mixture of pain and resilience.

"Why did she leave your father?" I asked, my curiosity mixing with my empathy for the shared pain in our past.

He sighed, taking a heavy exhale that seemed to release the burden of memories. "My father faced financial struggles, and when she found a wealthier opportunity, she abandoned him. Later, she married your father for financial security."

A surge of compassion welled up within me. "Taehyung, I'm sorry you had to go through that," I whispered, my fingers gently tracing patterns on his hand.

He offered a small, bitter smile. "Life isn't always kind, Lisa. But it led me to you." His words lingered in the air, carrying a profound truth. I leaned in, capturing his lips in a soft kiss, a silent acknowledgment of shared pain and the solace we found in each other.

The car became a cocoon of emotions, where past wounds met present healing. He pulled away, his eyes holding a warmth that transcended the pain. "We can't change the past, Doll. But we can build a future together."

His promise resonated, and in that moment, I found solace in the arms of the man who understood both the darkness and the light that shaped our lives. The car continued its journey through the city, carrying us forward into an uncertain, yet hopeful, future.

After a while, we approached his office building, and its sheer size was awe-inspiring. The towering glass structure stood proudly, claiming the title of the tallest and most luxurious building in the country.

Taehyung, true to his style, ensured his buildings stood out from the rest. As we neared, I observed a crowd of people bustling around the main gate, leading to the colossal structure.
