TAEHYUNG POV

As I entered my mansion, a sense of calm enveloped the grandeur of my surroundings. Everything appeared to be in order.

Just as I contemplated heading to my room, Lisa emerged from the kitchen, her eyes lighting up as she noticed my arrival.

"When did you come?" she inquired, a genuine curiosity in her voice. I couldn't help but chuckle at her innocence. "Just now, as you can see," I replied with a playful tone.

Her demeanor shifted as she approached me, whispering, "Get fresh, my love. I've prepared something for you that you're going to love."

Grateful for her thoughtful gesture, I nodded in agreement. "Sure, I'll just come."

With that, she smiled and left, and I made my way to my room. Stepping into the bathroom, I shed my suit, allowing the warm water to cascade over me, washing away the stresses of the day.

The shower ceased, leaving my muscles relaxed and my mind clear. Exiting the bathroom, I wrapped myself in a towel and headed to my closet to don loose, comfortable pants. I walked to my vanity and dried my hair.

I left my room, only to encounter my mother directing maids with a purposeful air. She acknowledged my presence, greeting me as her attention shifted between managing the mansion affairs and our interaction.

She spoke while locking eyes with me: "Jennie will return in 2 days; I got a call from her." The news of my sister's impending return didn't resonate well with me. I had no desire for Jennie, an unwanted guest, to disrupt the delicate equilibrium.

I don't want her to come and ruin everything. I need to handle everything, and even to marry Lisa in front of the world, I can't cover this relationship more.

"That's good," I replied, my words concealing the unease I felt about Jennie's return. Despite my reservations, I maintained composure, aware that this revelation would require careful handling.

Turning my attention to my mother, I suggested, "Mother, I'll tell you the reason for what I am doing with Lisa, but let's have dinner first."

Her gaze held a mixture of concern and apprehension. "I just want to know what is going on in your head, Taehyung. I am scared of you and your mind. The way you hurt me in the morning, I feel so sad, but I know you had your reason," she confessed.

I couldn't help but internally chuckle at her admission; perhaps she should be wary. Leading the way to the dining table, I motioned for my mother to join me.

As we sat, I signaled to the maids to bring dinner from the kitchen; their swift movements were a testament to the efficiency that kept our grand mansion running smoothly.

As the maids brought in the sumptuous dinner, I ordered one of them to ask Lisa to join us. Moments later, Lisa entered the dining room, her gaze meeting mine. There was a subtle mix of curiosity and apprehension in her eyes.

"Lisa, come and join us." I gestured my tone a blend of formality and warmth. She approached gracefully, taking the seat beside me.

The atmosphere crackled with unspoken tension, a precursor to the impending conversation.

The dining table, adorned with elegant settings, became the stage for the unfolding drama. I could sense my mother's scrutinizing gaze, and Lisa's subtle glances betrayed a hint of anticipation.

The clinking of cutlery and the aroma of the meticulously prepared dinner set the backdrop for a dialogue that promised revelations and complexities.

As we sat in the opulent dining room, the air heavy with the weight of unspoken words, the scene was a tableau of family dynamics and the secrets that lay beneath the surface.
