Dazai's POV

We're now at the Armed Detective Agency and I was seating comfortably on my favorite couch that I happened to miss so much while my fellow members were circling around me.

This kinda feels like deja vu.

I scratched the back of my head and looked at them with uneasiness.

"I'm getting uncomfortable with the manner of stares I'm receiving from you guys."

Our doctor sneered from my reaction."And you should be."

I made an apologetic smile and eventually noticed my protege fidgeting and bashfully glanced away. He reluctantly returned his gaze on my direction though he chose not to meet my eyes.

"Do you want to say something, Atsushi-kun?"

"I--I'm sorry, Dazai-san!" My mentee hastily bowed his head and apologized. "It's just...you--you looked different than usual. You're not wearing bandages anymore."

"Ahh...There were limited rolls of bandage to where I stayed at and there's also an annoying person in that place that selfishly checked and examined every wound on my body. That double-faced healed much everything." I simply stated.

Everyone looked at me with dumbstruck expressions on their faces. Seems like they didn't get what I said, except for Ranpo.

My partner pushed his eyeglasses up to the bridge of his nose and scowled at me. "Speak in human language, sh*tty Dazai!"

I took a deep breath as I nonchalantly put both of my hands over my head and stared at the ceiling. "This might take time but I'll brief you guys about what happened..."

I narrated everything from the beginning as far as from the point of me being saved and being ended up confined in an unknown restricted area.

"So you're saying that someone helped you from the brink of death and this person and his goons imprisoned you for months. Then after a long painstaking negotiation, your prisoner slash savior finally released you." I nodded. "And here you are basking your capricious existence in front of us."

I grinned from the snide comment and shrugged. "Yeah. Basically that's it."

"Something's telling me that you're not giving us all the details here, Dazai." Kunikida looked at me with a mixture of uneasiness and worry.

I made a sly smile and winked. "Announcing the facts that are only valuable in our case is what detectives do."

I then heard my partner cursed and groaned with frustration.

"Just hold it right there, Dazai. What about this 'long painstaking negotiation' that Kunikida just stated." Our agency doctor interjected. "Don't tell me you're also going to keep the details in the shadows."

I pouted as I looked at her. "But it's such a drag to tell you guys about it!~"

"Stop whining and tell us!" Yosano demanded.

I raised both of my hands for surrender. Well I guess, it can't be helped.

"I struck a deal with the person. In exchange of me helping them, they released me. And here I am finally regained my precious freedom, basking my glorious existence in front of my beloved fellow members~"

"Okay stop with the over usage of adjectives and tell us the deal, Dazai?" My worry-wart partner then asked.

I resumed my original voice as I explained the matter to them. "We agreed to work together to find the person that was snatched away by a mafia organization." My expression became grave as I recall everything that happened. "You guys should know by now who's the one I'm referring to."
