Rachel's POV:
My name is Rachel and i have lived in New York for years and never have had any friends until recently. My parents..................... Well their parents or as much of a parent as you can be from behind a desk in an office. I was raised by my butler Stanley who is a pretty big guy and looks like a walrus and my maid Lynx she was small and freshly out of college i loved her. I only need them because my parents are never around.

i was painting and listening to my music REALLY loud in my room in an apartment building that my parents owned, they had no idea I even came over here or could paint OR that............. i................ DIED MY HAIR RED!!!!!!!! Sure it was reddish before but now it was red like red red but whatever. so i was painting when my dads butler Stanley came in "Rachel come on your parents need to see you" i stopped my music and turned around
"What did i do this time spill paint on my sheets, rip my jeans, sass the dog" all i had blamed for but only the first 2 i did how do you sass a dog A FRIGGIN DOG!!!! i just rolled my eyes and went back to painting and turned my music up . He turned it off and took my paint brush " Rachel honey they want to send you to Europe for boarding school" i was holding a can of paint and i dropped it and it splattered everywhere.
Sure they had threatened to send me away but they never would follow up on it. I just sat down and thought "Come on Rachel they need you to be fitted with your uniform" he grabbed my hand and lead me to the door but right as he opened the door i sprinted out and down some random hall trying to loose him.( At the time i didn't realize i had a paint brush in my back pocket so he could find me easily but that's not the point)
After a while i heard a lot of screams a door slam and then some muffled sobs. I peeked my head around the corner and watched a beautiful brown haired girl sob into her knees and rub a huge scar on her ankle. i couldn't move i just sat there and watched.
A few minutes later i felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around and saw Stanley standing there ,he was about to talk but i put my hand over his mouth and pointed to the girl. He nodded and kept quiet until she started to calm down, and i ran out from behind the wall screaming about walruses then signaling Stanley to come out chasing me, i popped out and yelled at him then i hid again.
The girl had a seriously confused face, she quickly got up and walked back into her apartment followed by two joyous screams. i smiled and sprinted away before Stanley could grab my wrist and drag me to my fitting. (this time dropping the paint brush realizing that was how he found me in the first place) I sprinted down some random halls and quickly found an exit but it was raining hard.
as soon as i got out i bent over and told myself "Its ok Rache they'd never send you away" a tear slid down my cheek and quickly wiped it away with my wet hair before i realized i was no longer alone.
i looked up and saw the most beautiful girl. she had curly brown hair and eyes that changed color in the light, had tear stains down her cheeks, but if you looked really close her eyes held sadness. it was the girl from the hallway. she had a black hoodie on with black skinny jeans and hot pink high tops. she looked at me with concern put a hand on my shoulder then sprinted.
i shrugged what the hell i thought to myself. i followed her to a clearing where she was talking on the phone and tears were streaming down her face which was already wet from the rain
"- Kay i'll be home soon i just have to go to see Percy daddy just scared me I will be home soon"i heard muffled sobbing and a small voice"Sam I'm scared" Sam that was her name! she looked like she got stabbed in the heart as tears slid down her face. "I-I'll be home I-I swear" the girl over the phone sniffled "Bye" "Bye Kay i love you"
Sam fell to the ground and put her hands over her face. It was my turn to surprise her. i walked up to her and put my hand on her shoulder. As soon as I touched her she sprang to her feet and put me in a headlock. "Woahhh there kitty not trying to hurt you at all" she immediately let go and held her soaking hand out to me. "I'm sam" she seemed a little bit hesitantly i took her hand and said "Im rachel" . she smiled so i smled back.
"I'm going to see my" she thought for a moment and choked out the word "B-best friend Percy" she looked sad but when she said percy her tear stained face lit up, but i asked "can i come with you" she smiled to herself and nodded.
on the way she told me ALL about Percy, his best friend Jason, and his sister Hazel. Especially about Percy she has had a crush on him since he moved here and he doesnt have a clue. The poor girl had fallen HARD. I know i just met her but if Percy breaks her heart i will do the same to him.

we were almost there when Sam sprinted ahead then all of a sudden she dropped into a bush and as soon as i got there she pulled me down too, and i quickly realized why there were a few teens our age looking for a guy with black hair, green eyes, and named percy. I looked over Sam was red with rage and tears were streaming down her face. What the crap is going on here????
