chapter 15: Before the attack

HEY GUYZZZ SORRY I HAVEN'T UPDATED IN A WHILE I'VE MISSED YOU GUYS!!!!!! but seriously I've been overflowing with hw and quizzes and practices soooooooo DON'T HATE ME!!!!!!!

Pipers POV: 

I CANT BELIEVE WHAT I JUST TOLD THALIA!!!! i was so stupid to tell her that i-i-....................i I CANT EVEN THINK IT!!! ugggggghhhh what did i just get myself into! WHAT THE HADES WAS GOING THROUGH MY HEAD!!!  

my mind was swimming with questions but they were all interrupted when i saw something rustling in the bushes so I elbowed Annabeth mid sentence and pointed towards the bushes "did you see that"

they all shook their heads and i think someone said something but i was trying to see if there was something in the bushes. Everyone started to walk towards the bushes but on instinct I unsheathed katropis (?????) and stayed right where i was so if it was a monster and it tried to get away I could attack it from the front.  Annabeth threw on her cap and went around to the other side.

They were approaching slowly to not scare it, or so it would'nt notice (i was betting on the later). The monster popped out slowly at first but when it saw demigods it sprung out. 

We all frooze in horror it was a gorgon. Everyone quickly shook it off except for me i was standing still as a board. 

"Piper snap out of it ," Thalia stated quietly but the gorgon turned towards me hearing Thalia whisper to me.

"Ahh the little Aphrodite child long time no see" she hissed. everbody looked back at me.

 Annabeth said taking off her hat and looked at me like "what is she talking about?"  i gave tham a look that said later. Whlie we were distracted she lashed out at Thalia who slashed at her chest causing a long scrape on the gorgons chest. The gorgon started to attack us giving us scrathes scrapes and other injuries but we gave her the same.

After a while she just wouldn't die so i ran i know that cowardly but i dont want to die right now. I looked back and realized everyone had the same idea we were running and fast at that and right on the Grovers tail (poor goats the slowest) was the gorgon so i started to run faster. 

"Piper!"

i heard Nico yell from behind me. i looked back and he was getting pretty close, so i slowed down for a second to allow him to catch up

" What?"  

"Use your charmspeak on the Gorgon" i widened my eyes and shook my head

"I can't im under too much stress and im not calm i'm nervous and this is hard to admit but pretty scared because last time I ran into this Gorgon it wasn't pretty at all" with that i sped up a little so i just barely passed Nico as we ran for our lives.

Out of the corner of my eye i could see Thalia repetedly hitting the Gorgon with arrows from yards away but as soon as they hit her she would start to vaporize but come back, Annabeth was trying to figure out how this was possible i could see it in her gray eyes.

"Guys were almost at school we have to kill it or else we might get someone hurt!" Grover exclaimed and sure enough if you looked closely you could see the hundreds of kids sitting outside waiting for classes to start 

"oh boy" Annabeth mumbled still calculating what was going on in her little blonde head as she ran. 

After about 10 seconds the first kid noticed us " AHHHHHH" She screamed she pointed and EVERYONE in the school yard looked and started screaming "Ahh theres a sniper" or "AHHHHH theres a terrorist" or "JAIL BREAK", and could be heard for most likely blocks away.
